5 Keys Communication

With the help of our canine mascot, Henry, the healthy hearing hound, the 5 Keys Communication program will teach you everything you need to know in order to successfully cope with hearing loss. Written and designed by a Doctor of Audiology, the 5 Keys Communication app will give you weekly lessons for an entire year. These important lessons will include: What to expect from hearing aids Effective communication strategies Environmental modifications for successful communication Hearing aid tips and tricks Hearing aid troubleshooting guide Assistive technologies beyond the hearing aids Games and activities to reinforce key concepts Consumer organizations and other helpful resources The lessons are organized by environment, so you can access the lessons that are most important to you. Don’t feel like waiting for next week’s lesson? Go ahead and read each lesson when you feel the time is right! Hearing loss is the 3rd most common age-related health condition. We know that hearing aids are a tremendous help to those with hearing loss, but they are only one piece of the communication puzzle. With the 5 Keys Communication app, you’ll learn the other 4 critical pieces of the puzzle and have plenty of opportunities to practice what you learn.
