a top-notch dynamics processor
This compressor is solid, and it gets the job done. The sidechain capability is great, and saturation by band is an added bonus. I’ve found that boosting saturation in the midrange adds a ton of warmth and character to my audio source. It’s also visually pleasing and very easy to use. Awesome tool for any iOS music producer.
Probably my favourite compressor because of its sound shaping and enhancing qualities. I like to use Medusa after Transient Designer, another super useful tool from FAC.

Great but needs a few updates for 5
Great tool to get your drums banging in no time. compressor,eq and saturator all in one and good solid sound. As a new release it is lacking polish though. Minor things to make the workflow more efficient. For example it is still missing things like double tap to reset knobs or numeric boxes. So yet not a 5 for me.Show lesssimlogue

More, not the same
Most IOS music makers already have half a dozen compressors. So why get this one? Because, FAC Medusa’s x-factor is what is described as ‘colourful character.’ In other words, it manages to sound unique, and distinct from other excellent compressors such as those by Tone Boosters, Fab Filters, etc. Quite often it is such distinctions that make the difference as to whether a song appeals to many ears. So if you have the cash, this is an app well worth the investment. And it’s fun. (-:Show lessTheWightGuy
