Description of Ableton Note

Note is a place to form ideas, experiment with sounds and find direction. Get your ideas out or play until inspiration hits using a selection of Ableton Live’s drum kits, synths and melodic instruments. Or create your own sound palette by recording the sounds around you into Note’s sampler instruments using your phone’s microphone. Take your ideas further by sending your projects to Live without leaving the app using Ableton Cloud. Open projects from Live’s browser and keep working – you can edit all your MIDI notes, and all your samples and sounds from Note are exactly the same. Ableton Note users will receive a free license for Ableton Live Lite – simple, intuitive software used by musicians, producers and DJs around the world to write, record, and perform. • So…

First of thank you ! Been waiting for an official app from Ableton. It’s definitely a great app for what it offers BUT…it can be a lot better I feel like for the almost 10$ that it cost it is definitely lacking in features. I feel like adding support for AU3 on the app will open up a lot more doors I enjoy stock sounds but I’d love to be able to integrate my other apps for sounds, Second maybe a bit more midi control ?

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for the feedback. We shared this with our team. You can always submit a new feature request by opening the Help menu in Note's Setting Page and tapping the "Feedback" button. Thanks again, Ableton.
  • What a fun little notebook

Great for jotting down some ideas quickly, like a handy little notebook.

Please add the ability to record Audio in app instead of exporting the whole set as one audio track.

    Developer Response

Hey Tellmetheodds92, thanks for your review! You can already resample audio within the app by long-pressing on the microphone button in the drum and melodic sampler. That will switch the mode from microphone to resampling. If you want to send us more feedback, you can get in touch with us via note-feedback@ableton.com
  • Why oh why can’t I save as an Ableton SESSION?

I get that I can sync with the cloud.

I DON’T get why I can’t just save/export ideas as a regular Ableton session - I can do it in Korg Gadget… why not here?

I want to make an idea, export as Ableton Live session, and send that session to my collaborators. It can just be wav files! Not all everyone uses Live 12, so this is limiting.

Please add this feature to get a 5 star review!

    Developer Response

Hey J. Soul, Thanks for your feedback! You can export regular sets to send to your collaborators as well! You can do so by tapping on the three dots next to the set and tap on "Share". This will generate an .ablbundle file which both Live and other instances of Note can open. Let us know if you have any other questions or feedback under note-feedback@ableton.com
