Power off issues

So this power station (DBS1300)did an update on Dec 21st and after the update if the power station is being charged it cannot be turned off!!
This does not make any sense whatsoever, once it starts charging i need to disconnect from charging source or just wait for it to finish charging before I can turn it off. The power button on the unit does not operate nor does the power button on the app.
