It works literally 50% of the time or worse
Dude, come on...get your game working properly. It has been forever since you launched. What's the point of rebooting Sword Girls if it's Borderline unplayable? And you have the gall to open an overpriced shop amidst it all.
Get different management, or something. People in charge are making dumb decisions. You have a tidal wave of old SG fans waiting to give you money, but even we won't just fork over our cash to this dumpster pile.

Unstable
I worked on the original US version of Sword Girls when it was published by Changyou. That was a good game. This version is not. Horribly unstable - often stops responding after or during a battle, especially if you leave the app and return (which is what mobile gaming is like!). Plus, while the card ability descriptions are fine (probably using the same English Changyou translated), the intro story and tutorials have very broken English. Also long load times - I'm guessing because servers are probably in Asia (I'm in the US). Hopefully at least the stability issues will get fixed. If playable, the game is decent with some interesting strategy involved (though a lot of randomization as well).

Okay, but could be better
As a player of the original Sword Girls Online game, I was excited to see that this was finally available for the IOS. After playing this for a while, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- Large variety of girls and factions to mix and play with. With time and effort, you’ll be able to make your own custom deck to steamroll everyone.
- Moderately easy to understand battle system
- Numerous levels to unlock
- Nice art
- Decent AI for player auto battle
- Decent effort for translating some of the Korean text into English.
- Runs well even for lower spec phones (using iphone 10 atm, doesn’t crash)
Cons:
- EXTREMELY horrible material grind (What I mean by this is that when trying to craft cards, they require hundreds to THOUSANDS of one material just to make one card. It doesn’t help that completing one whole dungeon run can take an entire 30-45 minutes and earns you only 80-120 materials. Big big wasteful time sink even with the AD auto-run boost you can buy with real money)
- While card effect descriptions are translated, card flavor text and story mode text are still not completely translated into English.
- The early to middle game can be very rough because the AI has super rare or double rare cards that can utterly destroy a new player’s default deck. This will push players to spend real life money to buy more stronger cards instead of encouraging them to craft the cards.
- UI is sometimes inconvenient; I wish there was a button that shows me all the cards I can craft at once instead of having to go to the album page and then flip through each episode to look for one specific card to craft. Also, there’s nothing telling new players that they can get a bunch of gacha tickets for free by going into the shop to redeem them.
- Very few daily missions to do for ingame currency
Suggestions:
- Add a x3 or x4 button to speed up dungeon running (please respect player time since we have other things to do too)
- Lower the amount of materials needed to craft cards, or increase the amount of materials we get from dungeons
- Decrease the number of loading screens
- Add more freebies for players to have :)

Game play issues
I can’t get past my first dungeon gameplay without it freezing and making me go through the tutorial all over again when I quit the app. Please fix this issue and the loading times.
Solid Resurgence
Is this game perfect? No, there are some obviously longer loading times between matches that I’m not a fan of.
What I will vouch for is the responsiveness of the developers in addressing a lot of issues. This is a tiny team, working to revitalize a game that they love and I am excited to see all the progress they’ve made improving the ui/gameplay and have faith that they will continue improving this game.
Also highly recommend the discord community (check wiki/reddit for link)!

Bring back OG
The original sword girls was so much better than this garbage. I am honestly so disappointed. I’ve been waiting years for the games revival and this is what fans have to settle for…
