Liquipedia User Reviews

Come a long way!

It wasn’t the most intuitive app when I first installed it a while back, but the updates have really taken it a long way. I LOVE the alerts for when my favorite teams are playing and when tournaments are starting. There’s so many Dota 2 tournaments, it’s easy to forget about ones that are upcoming or ongoing. It’s also got a ton of fancy features that I don’t really have need for, but it’s nice that they’re there. Liquipedia is the premier source for all things esports, and this app is a nice supplement for users on the go.

Absolutely Amazing

This app gives you everything you need to known on upcoming matches and stuff and the reminder tool is sooo good, followed the entire RLCS 24 season just from this one app

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind feedback! Stay tuned as we release more cool features this year and the next.

Best app for following esport!

The best app for following esport! I hope will be updated on time with every teams and players details!

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback and yes, it will be updated as soon as possible with every information available.

decent

Does what you’d want and expect but man the notifications you get once you turn them on for a whole event is crazy. But they have everything updated and live. no complaints here

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback! A nice "pro tip" for tournament-wide notifications: if you don't want to be bombarded by everything, you can turn individual match notifications off :) This way, you can only get notified for the matches you most care about. Thanks for being a fan.

Authority on Esports

The best esports source on the internet finally has an app!

Perfect for following specific teams or individual events for any esport. I only encountered one bug while using it and the dev team responded to my issue quickly and had a fix out in a few days.

I use Liquipedia all the time on my computer and now all the time on my phone.

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback. Apple Watch notifs should be possible if you enable them on your phone (they should sync. If they don't it might be a bug). Same for Lock Screen. Check your notification settings on your phone/app -- maybe you disabled them by mistake. If you think it's a bug, please let us know via the bug submission form in the app.

Good but lacking some detailed stats.

Like the app design and has the all the games that I’m interested in following. Easy to use and intuitive design.

My only real complaint is that they don’t present a detailed breakdown of the stats that I’m interested in.

An example is in a LoL match the only stats you have is who won which map and the time it took to win. No stats for individual player KDA etc and no objective stats such as how many turrets and other map objectives a team took.

Otherwise I’m enjoying the app and it’s a very convenient way to track the multiple esport leagues and tournaments that I’m following.

Hey, thanks for your feedback! You'd be happy to know that we're actively working on adding these details already this year! Dota 2 stats will come around TI, and we'll try to add LoL ones by Worlds time. Thanks for being a user, stay tuned for more updates. :)

My thoughts on the app

First of all sorry for my bad English because it’s not my main language. I usually don’t write reviews but I thought I really have to send a message for all the people who are working on this app. I want to tell you guys to keep up the good work and please keep updating and making the app better and better because it has so much potential and future. I fully support you guys and I do see a bright future for this app. Of course there are lots of bugs and cons that I hope you guys fix them in the future and I know you will. Keep updating the app and keep up the good work my friends 🧡.

No tournament brackets

At least for Dota 2 there’s no way to see a full view a tournament brackets if they show at all. Even the mobile web page has the option.

Response from developer

Hey thanks for your feedback! From every tournament page, there should be an option to "See full bracket", which you can then navigate left/right and top/down to check the matches. That said, we are also aware that this screen is not optimal and we'll be improving it this year! Stay tuned!

Easy to read, webpage is more accessible and accurate still

(Valorant focused)
As the title says, the app is quite simple and straight forward to navigate. My primary complaint is that the events shown on liquipedia’s webpage (including VCT Ascension and other VCT tournaments) don’t show up on the app for some reason. Some events will have titles but no page. I assume these are slowly being updated as it’s nice to go back and look at old tournaments and placements to track team progress and see brackets. Prize pools are also incorrect among other things for some events that are accurate on the webpage version.

Another slight nitpick but I’ve noticed that my and some other coach/player pages have incorrect birthdays by a day when the webpage profiles are fully accurate showing that there is some sort of disconnect in the transferring of information. Once again many of the previously played or participated in tournaments for different players or teams, aren’t showing on the app when they do show on the webpage.

TLDR; the app has significant potential for purely checking recent match scores, but if you want any of the other features liquipedia offers or to see ALL current tournaments, I would say it’s still easier and quicker to use the liquipedia webpage for now.

Response from developer

Hey, thanks for your feedback! Wrong prize pools or incorrect data might be a bug: the app should get the exact info that the web has. Stopping by our Discord and reporting the bugs will help us catch those and fix them. Our devs are very responsive, so issues are usually fixed very quickly. About not seeing some events like VCT Ascension, it might be because they are way too far in the future. In that case, just searching for them would be the best way to follow them. If it's something else, we'd love to look into it and improve. In any case, step by our Discord to say hi and we'll be happy to help with any and all issues. :)

language

why is the app language Russian?I can’t understand Russian and don’t know where to change

Response from developer

Hey, that shouldn't happen if your OS language is not Russian. But to fix it: 1. Click the account screen (top right) 2. On the account screen, click the list item with globe icon (that's Languages). It will be the third one after General Settings (gear) and Notifications (bell) 3. Click the button on the dialogue window that appears This will take you to your OS screen to change languages, you can update it from there. Additional bug report from your side would also really help us catch what happened. Default language should be English
