  • Amazing, increasingly-capable web-based desktop mode for iOS and iPadOS!

Let me start by saying this is NOT akin to Samsung’s Dex mode or other Android true desktop modes. You CANNOT use other apps on your device like with Stage Manager or a true desktop mode… but now that those misconceptions are out of the way, for what it is, this app is AWESOME! As an avid supporter and user since version 5.0, I’ve been using InfiniteX2P on my iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Air 4th Gen, both of which lack stage manager, and I can confidently say this app just about fills that desire with vast improvements every update! Even with this being written from the perspective of a 6.0 user having JUST started trying version 7.0 which JUST released (literally minutes ago at the time of writing), I have no doubt this powerful application can more than fill your browser-based needs. I can edit Wordpress websites, type up YouTube scripts, access and reorganize files from online service providers, edit photos with online tools like Photopea, remotely access my computers, and just about everything else I want to do! If you need a desktop mode and wish your iPhone or non-Stage-Manager iPad (it can be used on Stage Manager supported devices though, allowing for even better web based multitasking) could make better use of its power, this is the app for you!

  • Great App!

Can’t say I’ve ever written a review for an app before but this one I felt deserved one. Short and simple, if your looking to turn you iPad into more of a Chromebook experience this app does it. I currently use an iPad mini as my “computer” because I don’t like to carry to much with me with what I do for work. It’s a bit hard to do everything on such a small screen so being able to use this app in connection with an external monitor makes the iPad mini the only device I feel I really need. If you want to have your iPad be your main/only computer you NEED to get this app.

  • Great on iPad terrible on iPhone *Update*

Everytime I try to watch a video or YouTube in the app it goes full screen on my iPhone and I could not control my mouse. Not happening on my iPad though. It maybe not the developers fault but hopefully there is a fix.

The new update made it worse:
Mouse sometimes is unusable, PiP is automatic, I cannot watch 2 YouTube videos at the same time if I want to unlike before. Its still in beta so i hope it gets better and improve.
Not all bad though, the iPhone is not hot or even warm when connected to hdmi. So that is a positive and kudos to the developers.

Could you please reach us out through twitter @infiniteX2P? We need to investigate further on mouse issue and we need your help. We are aware of this issue. This is why we put in alert that asks iPhone users to use mobile version of Youtube because we are continuously trying our hardest to fix this. Meanwhile, please use mobile websites for video playback on the iPhone.

  • great alternative to stage manager!

i never write reviews for any of the apps i've downloaded so far. but i feel like this is necessary since this app is so great.
ipad air 4 or older ipad model users are currently unable to get the stage manager function, which is only available on a few recent ipad models, such as ipad air 5, ipad pro etc.. i didn't want to spend extra money and get a new ipad just for the sake of a functionality so when i tell you this app is a life saver, this is not an understatement.

one thing that i like is that this app is free, i don't know how much windows you can open at a time but i usually use five of them and having the possibility to use them at the same time and resizing / customize each window had truely improved my productivity.

infinitex2p could have been better if we could open actual apps like youtube, discord, google docs instead of their websites to make it more praticle and improve the user experience. but you do have files that you can downland and open if you wanna read them. which is why i wont complain much about this app

i just wish it will stay free for any users like me that can't afford to spend money. i am looking forward to the future of this app ! so far, this is the best that i used so if you were looking for a stage manager alternative, this is your sign to download the app!

  • iPad unlock. Truly fills the gaps the iPadOS needed fixed.

There are a lot of things to hope for as this development team continues to prove the use case for more professional workflows via the browser. There are a lot of small details that add huge quality of life improvements for knowledge work on the iPad here. Especially when paired with slide over apps. Invest in this dev team. They’re building for all iPad users.

  • Not ready for everyday use

I’ve been looking for a tool like this for the iPhone. Phones are so powerful today, why carry a laptop? The app gives access to a range of web apps - Google, Microsoft, and a few others. But using them is tough. I’m an MS user, and even though you’re using the web app, it opens in phone mode. The app zooms the moment you type anything and I can’t unzoom it! There are no scroll bars in the app, it assumes you’re on a touch screen. However, if I was stuck with no laptop, but access to a usb dock, with keyboard, screen and mouse, and needed to work, I could live with this for a day or two, but not every day. Persuade the web apps to open in desktop not mobile mode, and it would be so much better!

What I’d really like to do is have access to the native iPhone apps, but full screen on a big screen, with a mouse and keyboard. However, I think this also requires the app manufacturers to provide a full screen mode!

Hello, thank you for reaching out with your concerns. We will look into websites keep zooming and conduct more testing on web apps. We'll also look into websites not opening in desktop mode — they are not supposed to open in mobile websites.
  • Can someone please help me.

If it is possible how can you download google chrome as a web browser? I would us this more often if I could install google chrome on it so I can do my online classes.

    Developer Response

Hey! Thank you for reaching out. You are unable to install Google Chrome on infiniteX2P as per Apple's App Store Guideline. However, if you need any specific features in Web Browser, be sure to let us know. We'll add those features accordingly as we update the app!
  • Bad resolution, bad UX

It is so blur on the external monitor, and also not able to adjust the window size
  • It does what it says!

Get a (pretty basic) desktop experience powered by your iPhone! Amazing in and of itself! Not necessarily for a lot of pro workflows, but if your daily computing needs involve email and spreadsheets, you have all you need here. It’s what I was looking for and performs better than I expected! 5 stars!
