  • Broken - do not download

Can’t get past login screen. Will not load text or URL.
  • Scam Alert!!

    Ripoff!!!

    Do not buy!!!

Error messages with every attempt to summarize!!!
  • Cannot access most websites I like to read

I tried Wall Street Journal, Economist, Bloomberg, Financial Time, and it failed access all of them even after successful subscriber log in from within the TLDR app. Don't waste your time or money
  • Disappointing…does not work on NYTimes

Tried it for a very lengthy Nytimes article and it did not work.

    It’s also very expensive.
  • Most Articles don’t work

Most articles don’t work and return a 400 error or “socket hung up.” Don’t pay for this app.
  • Doesn’t work is advertised!

I submitted articles to to;dr, but every single one failed. It was a clear failure, so I deleted the app. I believe that the urge to make money is much stronger than the desire to create useful summaries. My advice to developers is to prioritize building useful summaries over the desire for financial gain.

  • Simply does not work.

When attempting to use links to research articles, this has never once worked, neither in my PC toolbar nor within the app. Millions of other “article summarizers exist;” download one that actually works (and is free…), and does not just show a rocketship for 2 minutes prior to inevitably saying it can’t compete the task.

  • $32 / month?

Costs them $.02 to send the article to open AI. Max of 4500 characters so only good for shorter articles I could already scan.
  • Not good enough

Tested it twice and it was very inaccurate, especially with the second one.
  • TLDR is like cliff notes for news articles.

I LOVE this product. It has saved me time and energy keeping up with current events by cutting out all the “fluff” and sticking too what the article is about. The tutorial when you first download the app is easy to understand, and navigating the app is fluid! I especially enjoy the option to flip back and forth between TLDR and the full article. This is an excellent application for anyone who keeps up with current events. ANY article can be broken down to its meat! Simply incredible. Highly recommend.
