Aggressive Paywalls and Constant Crashes

The “free” version is very unclear, but basically throws a paywall at you for every action you take in app. I could add about 5 tasks a day before getting hit with it, rendering the app pretty much useless unless I forked out some cash.

I get it, company’s gotta make money. But I am WAY less likely to use a product for the long-term if on day one it’s basically unusable unless I pay.

Hi Falo. Thanks for your feedback – I’ll work on clarifying the free version’s limitations. Crashes shouldn’t be happening, so I’m sorry about that! You can use the ‘Report Issue’ option in the menu to send details directly to my developers to get it fixed. I know one star isn’t ideal, but your points are valid, and I’ll work on improving this. If the issue gets resolved and you feel it deserves more stars, I’d be incredibly grateful – it really helps as a solo developer trying to grow and improve. Thanks for helping make Yoodoo better! Best, Ross

Great for my daily routine

Yes, a to-do list; calendar and routine planner all in one app is great. It's not perfect, but it's close. The notifications are a bit random, but it does the job really well. The website is cool too as it looks like it's an ongoing project by an ADHD guy, so good to know.

So far so good

I've only been using it for an hour and already I can tell it's going to help me SO MUCH. The timeline is great, especially being able to schedule tasks from the list to the timeline directly is exactly what I have been looking for.

Finally! The app I’ve been searching for!

Just came across this app after spending so many precious hours trying to find the best, ADHD-friendly time management/calendar apps for months… I honestly never thought I would find something satisfactory for my ADHD brain. It’s been a nightmare learning so many different apps that I end up never touching again…

But this app is different. First off, I’m not bombarded with a dozen different buttons and lengthy tutorials to learn how to begin using the app. I love that I’m able to simply just create my tasks and even use AI to write the sub tasks for me… (my favorite feature.) I especially enjoy the habit-tracker! I thought that was a nice feature to add because as someone with ADHD, I really struggle with consistency. So this allows me to keep track of my habits and get that little dopamine boost for doing a good job. I’ve downloaded Yoodoo for my MacBook too actually, and… it seems like it’s just designed for the phone for now, but ironically, I love that it doesn’t take up my entire screen. It’s like a mini task bar that I can keep open while letting my main work take up my screen.

Overall, it’s just exactly what I’ve been looking for. I create tasks, assign them due dates, can visually see the due dates at all times so I know when I really should quit procrastinating on a task, and I can even block time for my tasks using the Timeline tab. There’s even different sections we can create to keep our tasks more organized. It’s simple, easy-to-use, easy for my ADHD brain to work with. I can’t even tell you how happy I am that I’ve found this… I almost thought about just making an app myself for people with ADHD but I was hoping there’d be that one perfect app hiding somewhere already…

Still learning more about the app, so I’ll update this once I use it for a longer period of time. 👍 Great stuff! I look forward to seeing this grow. I also love that the team is already brainstorming more features. Yay!

Hello Cheskavi. It's Ross here from Yoodoo. I just gotta say what an amazing review! Thanks for your effort into saying such lovely things. It makes what I do all worth it, and honestly spurs me on to keep on improving the app as fast and as often as I can. I also had no idea it worked on Mac! Wow, honestly no idea, how cool. I'll use it now on here too. I'm so glad you get it too and it helps you with your ADHD. This was and is the sole reason I made this app, and continue to do so. It's so useful for our visual ADHD minds, and when used on a daily basis helps a tonne. I'm so glad others like yourself are finding it useful too! I have so much cool stuff coming up - mainly little tweaks, that are going to massively help us ADHD'ers even more. I'm super excited to release them. Also I'm working on a crazy awesome AI upgrade that's just gonna be gold to us and keeping us motivated and on-track. I'm super excited to try it myself, so for everyone else it's gonna be epic. Keep on enjoying Yoodoo, and I look forward to pushing all the new updates as and when I can. Ross

Don’t buy use FREE Apple products

This is another useless time management app that charges patrons to do the exact same things that apps like Apple Reminders, Calendars, Freeform, and you can use a free pomodoro app to manage time limits on tasks. Also, Google offers free services. I believe that all the positive stars are from friends and family. What’s worst is that they targeting people with ADHD 😔

Thanks for the feedback! Apple and Google do have some solid free tools, no argument there - though it does take a few apps to do what Yoodoo handles in one. I built Yoodoo to offer something different, but I get it—why bother when the basics are already out there? As for targeting ADHD users, I must've missed the memo that trying to help is a bad thing, 90% of users tell me it helps them with their ADHD. But hey, maybe I should just let the tech giants handle everything. Clearly, innovation is overrated. Good luck with those free tools! Ross

Does not work

I paid for a pro subscription. You need too for this app to be off any use. But it’s still buggy. The app keeps restarting and I lose my edited tasks. And when I schedule a task it doesn’t show in my timeline, nine times out of ten. You don’t need this product. Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Reminders and Google tasks achieve all the same things and displays it right there on your calendar.

I’m impressed

I gotta say. I'm impressed. At last a timeblocking app that works. There's still some bits that could be better, like the ability to reorganise tasks, but other than that it's great. Beyond the free version is totally worth it too. Works out to be about £1 a month. Waaaaay cheaper than all the other productivity apps iv used that don't even come close. Well done on creating such an amazing app.

Pretty sweet right! Glad you're enjoying it. We're working on the reorganising tasks bit for a future release. Thanks for your kind words.

Time blocking saviour

Been trying to find an app for a while that helps me remember everything and gives me focus time.

This app is perfect. Can’t wait to be more organised with 2023 goals!

If I could import calendars that would be fab!

Response from developer

Calendar import has arrived. Go check it out!
