  • Accuracy?

I’ve tried three decibel meter apps, this app is very consistent….and 20 decibels below the other two. Is it the accurate one? Don’t know, all that’s confirmed is that it measures lower that the others by 20db. For me that’s the wrong direction for error.

We apologize for the discrepancy you encountered in the measurements compared to other apps. We understand the importance of reliability when it comes to decibel readings, and we are committed to ensuring the precision of our app. To address this issue, our team will conduct a thorough review and double-check the app's calibration and precision. • Not my favorite

This gives readings that aren’t very reflective of the environment. It doesn’t catch surges in sound, and gives readings of 40 db when there is no sound. Don’t waste your money.

    Developer Response

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. A quiet place typically has a sound level of around 30 to 40 decibels (dB). This range can vary depending on the location and the surrounding environment, but generally, a quiet indoor setting falls within these levels. Regarding surges in sound - on our devices, everything works correctly. Please check whether all necessary permissions are granted. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via the 'Contact Us' menu in the Settings. Have a great day.
