  • Nothing short of miraculous…

Once upon a time, I would go up and down the stairs, CD in hand, so I could audition my new single on the all important car stereo. Each ‘trip’ was around 10-15 minutes: I’d wait for the audio to render, and then get it on the CD. There’d be days when all I did was go up and down the stairs. Even with the advent of USB equipped vehicles, Bluetooth, and email-able audio, you’re still at the mercy of your DAW’s render. Each song can take 2-3 minutes. If you have an album (and I do), you’re looking at a 30-45 minute marathon each time.

This makes all of that go away, with an elegant and CPU efficient plugin. Even though the plugins raison d'etre is auditioning your music on your phone (and mighty useful it is too: if your mix falls apart on the iPhone, you might have a problem), for me it’s all about taking the phone down to the car, and letting my hard work speak for itself. The app makes that old silly song and dance redundant. Nostalgic I am not.

I hope they keep optimizing the plugin to minimize dropouts: It seems to work fairly well when I walk down to the garage, but can be temperamental.

Other than that, it’s an absolutely essential, almost magical plugin. Worth it just for the hours and hours I’ve already saved not having to sit through a ‘rendering audio’ notification.
  • Great product ruined by lag and pops

Ive tried this plugin in 3 DAWs and consistently the problem is that every 2 seconds the audio will cut out, stutter, and do loud pops. Its not the DAWs or my wifi. With these issues Its pretty much unusable which is annoying because this product is such a good idea

    Developer Response

Hi there, sorry to hear about the dropouts and pops. That should definitely not happen! Please make sure to use version 1.0.13 of the plugin. We recently fixed a problem which could potentially cause this problem. Otherwise please reach out to us at support@soundondigital.com so we can investigate and solve the problem.
  • Very useful until it crashes Pro Tools

This is a super cool plug. Setup and everything was easy and getting it to function worked the first time. It has crashed Pro Tools twice in the first 30 min of trying it though.

    Developer Response

Sorry to hear Mix to Mobile crashed your Pro Tools. What version of the plugin are your running? Click the gear icon to see the version. We released v1.0.3 recently which fixes some issue for Pro Tools specifically. Also feel free to send us a message at support@soundondigital.com so we can find and fix the problem if v1.0.3 doesn't already solve it.
