New user of SoundOff
I’ve never seen or heard anything like this app before. Soundoff allows me to feel a sense of community with people around the world that I would have otherwise never connected with. And on such a wide range of subjects— it’s both entertaining and informative. I live in Los Angeles and spend a lot of time in my car, and am always looking for new things to listen to, to pass the time. Soundoff scratches an itch that I don’t get with a podcast. It’s like an audio version of twitter or reddit, but without all the chaos. I love when I see the same names and hear the same voices because I feel like they’re my friends— I feel a sense of community with complete strangers, and I genuinely look forward to hearing their input every day. And when I hear new voices, I get inspired to record my own answers even more.Show lessIt’s like “Group Therapy” for the new millennium
I LOVE SoundOff. And I think I’ve liked it more everyday than the day before. One of the most basic forms of “therapy” is being able to say what you really think. SoundOff gives you the opportunity to have a captive audience to share YOUR “truth” about almost any topic you can imagine. And, you get to hear other’s perspectives in return. In short, it’s loads of fun. It feels good to your brain. And you can make new friends too!Show lessA social network designed for understanding instead of reacting
I’ve been truly surprised at how comforting and expanding SoundOff has been as a daily experience. It’s out into stark relief how little our social platforms value creating space for understanding vs reacting as a principle. SoundOff is always genuinely surprising, enlightening, and a reminder that there is always a lot more nuance and possibility to the world than “for” or “against.”Show less
