  • Great concept, frustrating execution

I love this game more than any other rogue-like (on mobile) I’ve ever played. The art is appealing, the enemies actually attack you rather than just running into you, the building system and rings are a neat touch, and the difficulty, although hard, is a fun challenge.

However, the research boost consistently does NOT last for 24 hours (only lasting 6-10 in my experience), which is frustrating because the research system is a core element of the player’s power when fighting. In other words, it practically handicaps you into having to wait like you’re playing a different game such as Clash of Clans. Now, to be fair, this wouldn’t be bad in itself and there are other points I’d make but then I’d be a broken record so I’ll just list some broader points:

    - The synergies you can POSSIBLY attain and the ones you DO attain feel like a big middle finger, especially when more than half your build are related (such as fire, ice, radial, orbital, etc).
    - The bosses in the final region of the map have a ridiculous zone closing time, which can kill even the most prepared of players by simply removing your options and time to deal damage.
    - Some characters (honestly mainly just Escanor), in my humble opinion, need a bit more love compared to others.
    - The ring system feels a bit lackluster, I can’t really explain, something about it *feels* off.

  • Great game

I love the idea and design this game is great.
  • New update issue

I have noticed 2 issues since the new update.
The less pressing is that playing as Escanor with Radial Mastery somehow makes radials get one less upgrade when maxed out. The more pressing issue I have is that every since the update I have noticed almost constant half second lag accompanied by awful jarring noise that is hard to describe kind of dzz but electronically. Only way to stop the noise is ringer off and the lag still there so… One last thing, it is very unclear how to get the final mystery set bonus I have tried numerous combination, searching the net was hard cause game name is generic and no wiki for it.

Other than these issue I would normally rate 5 stars or maybe more like 4.5 if I could.
I love the game please take into account the issues

  • Okay but needs work

I rated okay because it is fun with good ideas but I have a problem. It’s a small but annoying problem that if fixed I would give 5 star and that is with the visual, or that in some cases it is extremely hard to detect enemies close to you. I keep dying because I think my explosive power has killed everything and then all of a sudden, without ever seeing a bad guy walking up to me or attacking, I die. Sometimes archers spawn! Right in front of me and I can’t see the arrows! They are underneath the tidal wave of enemies! Thanks Update: I deleted because it first lagged and killed me so I got stuck watching an ad for 30 secs over an unfair death then it lagged out again as I respawned, then wouldn’t you know it, when I got unlock I was dead again.

  • A Breath of Fresh Air

I am not tend to write reviews, however, this game has proven itself to be excellent both in quality with regards to the user experience and relevancy with its frequent updates and quality of life improvements. It takes inspiration in its mechanics from popular games such as Vampire Survivors, however it introduces enough new elements to provide a fresh and unique experience for those that have played other shoot ‘em ups. In addition, it has done away with the obvious “cash grab” element that some shoot ‘em up games have adopted, with the store being a way to send money the developers way without essentially being required to progress the game through artificial difficulty spikes. The player gets as much out of the game as they put in, progressing faster mainly through playing the game more. Though there are some issues present, notably with certain ability balances and game features not working properly, the current experience offered is well worth the price of free, and is something worth considering downloading.

  • Love the game, but one issue

I’ve been playing this on and off since it came out, and it’s become one of my favorites! I like challenge that is given and customization that is allowed for the player. I really enjoy the idea of slowly but surely expanding your base to get new buildings and rewards.

However, I do have one slight issue, and it’s that I went to unequip a ring from my character to switch it over to another, and all of the rings I had disappeared. I have also been getting a notification recently that says the game will not save and I have to restart.

Other than that, I enjoy the game a lot and plan to always be sure to come back with each update!

  • Great Game! I Found a Bug Though

Really loving the game so far! It’s art style and many different possibilities is fun to play around with, but sometimes can be a bit repetitive. The level design between worlds is fairly the same, as well as the progression. But overall has been a great game and I’ve been addicted.

I found a bug, though, in regards to the Archives. I’ve been trying to complete them all and no matter how many times I select “Magnetic Fields” in the game, it never unlocks it in the Archives. This is the only one I’ve seen do that so far, but would like to bring it to attention. Thanks!

  • Great fun

Really enjoying it and with the base building and time it takes to level characters up, you don’t feel the same burnout with other games.

    My only gripes;

You only really get an opportunity to acquire 1 max level ability, very rarely will you have 2 before the round finishes.

As soon as you get a set bonus (22/22) the round is basically over and you can’t enjoy what you have worked to get.

Perhaps if there was slightly more XP/mob so you can hit a few more levels, enabling you to get the set bonus a little sooner? (Yes there is a perk to give bonus XP, but that increase doesn’t give you 2+ more levels by the end of the round.)
Or even a bonus round for extra loot?

Aside from this, it’s great fun, and I felt more than happy to support with an in game purchase instead of feeling obligated to 👍🏻👍🏻

  • Amazing game

Only issue is needs more instructions about what synergies are and how to get them. No clue how to achieve those yet every challenge revolves around them
  • Surprisingly good

tl;dr - Love the in-mission gameplay. Base building ok so far.

Went in expecting the appstore default of cashgrab garbage, as I do with every game that isnt pay-once style.

My expectations were reversed after just one mission.

I have only cleared the first world, but the level up system is so far one of my favorites of the genre! Instead of just upgrading a weapon, when you pick your upgrade you also pick an aspect of the weapon to boost, like the projectile count or travel speed. It works very well, as the increases are not small, but actually noticeable.

The base building aspect is fine thus far, and any building time of *30 mins* or under can be instantly completed for free.

Honestly I wish there was a pay-once option to offer some small benefit, like maybe $5 to allow the player to double the amount of any reward up to three times a day. (More wood from lumber mills, more rings from stage completion, etc)

I am unsure of the purchasing gems, because I cannot calculate their actual in-game value. I would never spend more than 5-10$ on a consumable resource in a game, but at least thus far purchases are not required.
