Not much content, pain to import GIFs
There really isn’t much in the way of animated content, especially compared to Divoom, but hey the frames which run this app are much much cheaper.
This could be solved with GIF import, which you can do in the ‘animation’ tab. However, it has poor downscaling algorithms for content larger than 32px (you can export from Divoom at 320px, but when imported/downscaled in this app it’s over-smoothed) and many imported GIFs are too slow even with the speed slider on full. That speed slider needs to go too much faster speeds!

Energy saving mode not working correctly
I own both the 32x32 and The 1+3 iDotMatrix displays. The 32x32 pixel panel will not turn completely off using the energy saving mode in the apps settings menu. When setting the display to 0% it will instead dim to about 10% brightness. This is not an issue for the 1+3 version which turns completely off when programed with the same schedule using that same app setting. The only workaround is to manually hit the off button once you’ve opened the app and connect to the device. While the app is not perfect its other features seem to work very well. However this bug is keeping me from giving it anything higher then three stars. Hopefully the devs see this review if they are not aware of the issue and fix this bug soon.

Please have accounts
So we can save our creations across platforms and maybe a space for us to share our creations with each other. Furthermore it’d be great if we can have more color selection and a eye drop tool. Other then that it’s a fun app!
Update deleted all my uploaded data
I was loving my Pixel frame for the first few days and the new update deleted all my data.

Wish there were more clock options
Date format
The date format to me is wrong especially if your in the uk it would be nice to have the have the option to change it as it is confusing by put mm/dd it would be better to be dd/mm
Can’t reset
I received a returned unit from Temu. It has a password set. I can’t connect without one. You can’t reset through app without connecting. Tried app support. It took me to a Chinese website all in Chinese. Really! I don’t need to return it if I can reset the display. But can’t get help.
Colour pallet
When choosing colours for the squares. You can’t pick darker shades of white. This makes it harder to shade. Should definitely fix!!!
Not bad… needs a search tool
App works relatively well. I’d give it 5 stars if it had a search tool in the cloud media library. Way too much stuff to be forced to scroll through to find what you may or may not want…

IDotMatrix with 32x32
I have a 32 x 32 pixels screen. I love how easy and simple the software is to use with a lot of neat features. I wish that sometimes there were more updated animated gifts to choose from, but that’s a small thing. Keep up the great work. And spacing between words needs to be a feature. I don’t like having to use underscores to separate words.
