Battle Girls is an interesting fighting game with a great lineup of characters, odd but unique maps, and overall engaging combat with stuns, blocks, and all. However, the constant ads every time you click a button on screen when choosing whether or not you wanna play arcade or story mode does impact the overall experience of the game, forcing you to watch ads which aren’t necessarily long and can be skipped, but make the experience less entertaining when 80% of it is dodging ads left and right in order to actually play the 20% of actual content.
The actual gameplay experience isn’t bad, but has some things that require improvement.
First the controls. The controls do not match the ones on screen and has an issue where you aren’t allowed to interact with anything else after seeing controls.
Secondly the skills. They aren’t easy to learn as the text appears to be too short to read and comprehend.
And lastly the options. Do not worry for options as they work well.
Finally, I would love to talk about the characters.
The characters are not horrible nor bad and do appear to have some sort of lore to explain some part of their story and who they are as a person. Especially when playing the game and seeing each character have different personalities and abilities in combat when starting each round. The only issue is the lack of actual story explaining what’s happening and why these people are fighting with blades of every kind.
I hope you can take these in and turn this game into something amazing.
