Good but needs some improvements
I’ve used the Matchday app to join some soccer pickup games, and while it has its strengths, there are a few issues that stand out. The app is convenient for finding games, and the fields are generally well-suited for play. However, at one of the fields, they host tournaments and evening games on a field designed for 7 vs 7 matches but allow 10 vs 10 teams. This overcrowding significantly impacts the quality of the game. It seems like they do this to get more money, as every player has to pay $9 per match. Do NOT get a membership if you’re visiting short-mid term to one of the areas.
Coming from out of state it was difficult to find semi-competitive matches and this app helped for me to find some games in ATX. However, I realized that I don’t really need to pay to get decent games if I find a group, so kinda outgrew it. The most annoying thing about this all was that they have a 25 day cancellation policy but has to be done prior to the 1st of the month. There’s really no escaping it so you have to time your cancellation or you get charged for 2-months after the time you are done if you’re not meticulous enough. I get it that they use your info to secure fields with partners but it is a unfortunate that it has to be done this way. If you’re not able to play games I don’t think anyone should pay $100 for not cancelling properly. It seems more appropriate to adjust it accordingly.
At the end of the terms I don’t end up paying to play but paying for the convenience of Matchday. My loss, I guess. Poor user experience.Show lessMaddog greg

I found my home!
I love the app, it’s user friendly and you can send invites to your friends to play a match. Matchday is competitive but friendly, which is hard to find sometimes. I love how each game has to result in a win, which makes me fun and exciting for head to head games. Def recommend!AndreaaaaV
Best pick up app ever
Just started playing soccer last year & got put on the app. Havent stopped playing once a week with them, fields are great, players are competitive & it's well organized so I just pay & play, dont have to worry about bringing soccer balls or anything else. Easy to great games of soccer anywhere in Austin
So happy to have found Matchday. It’s a great to get a match anytime you want. It’s not league so people never fight but games are always fun. The staff is great and they have a lot and I never have to worry about getting players. The membership is great, as many games as you want!

Never really liked pick up games due to people not being competitive until I ran into Matchday ! Great fields ! Great competition ! And great vibes ! , only use to play on Sundays league and now I’m out there @ Matchday every other day ! Can’t get better than this 💪🏻ehdzzzz21
Best Pickup Soccer App
MatchDay is THE app to use for pickup games! It is extremely easy to use, and support has always been easy to reach. Everyone I have played with or against have always been kind, but competitive. Finally no hassle on demand soccer matches
I am amazed that somebody didn’t think of this app before.
I can finally get good competitive pickup games in premium fields without having to worry about if the other players are going to show up or competitive maniacs who think that they are playing a World Cup match.
This app gives me a way to play soccer whenever I want, as a way to exercise.
Other players are generally cool and the match managers are friendly and organized. Anyone that wants to play casual but competitive soccer should try this app.
