Strava data on video User Reviews

Update

Tried a few videos and one actually does work. Took 3 videos on GoPro yesterday. Only one of the 3 doesn’t crash. If you can get this to work it will be really good.

Doesn’t work

Really sloppy. Couldn’t get pass the compression stage to add the overlay. How do I get a refund? Completely useless.

Didn’t work, does now!

UPDATE- looks like some changes have been made, works perfectly now!

I was really excited to download this, however, all it does is add the app name watermark, no data. If it could demonstrate it working in free mode I’d happily pay for it.

Response from developer

Hi RJJ, could you place one of the metrics on the video? That way you can add different data types to your videos. Just click on one and drag them in place in the edit screen.

Mph option?

Will you ever gave an option for miles per hour?

Stuck in link to another app

Testing out the app and forced to “get” another app. Which then there was no way to close. Gave up on the creation of video using this app and can’t find reason to consider “pro” version now

Stick to the PC for Overlays

I want to like this app.. but the fact that none of my videos “match” my Strava activity is ridiculous. Great idea, but needs improvement. Let the user choose the activity that matches their video instead of trying to automatically match.

Needs a lot of work

Before I even paid for the $9.99 premium version, I tried the free version. It said I was going 75 mph on my bike LOL. It’s very buggy. It wouldn’t open a 30 sec clip from my Garmin Varia Radar Camera until I reinstalled the app. Once you tap a metric you want to overlay on the video, there’s no way to get rid of it unless you start over.

Response from developer

Hi Viet, you can delete a metric by long pressing it and clicking delete. The 75 mph is just a placeholder before the data is overlaid on the video or a inaccuracy in the strava data. With the new update you can also use footage from GoPro and garmin Varia cameras.

Keeps crashing

Tried a few things. Just crashes

Slightly lame

You would essentially need to be recording from your phone real time for it to sync with Strava.

So none of my GoPro footages would work with this app.

Would rather just pull the meta data like I do from my computer and dashware

Won’t be paying for anything until this gets fixed in a future update.

Good Idea with Lots of Work Ahead

Game changing idea but has lots of issues. I would be easier if the person was able to choose the Strava activity instead of using video metadata to match rides. Cannot match any of my videos so just going to give up trying and do it the old school way on a PC.
