Best app for a new city
TLDR: use this app for whenever you go to a new place. You can either find great places that have been noted by other users, or treat it as a POI diary like I do. It’s a great way to document your trip and the place you’ve been too.
My favorite travel and discovery app
The corner team has made an amazing application. It’s great search engine for discovering new and hidden gems around the globe. I also love the interface and allows me to easily share my travel lists with friends and family.
This app ROCKS
The fact that I am leaving an app a review is crazy. I’m not a foodie. And never will be. Absolutely love being able to type in “cozy retro cafe” when I have no idea where I am and actually getting exactly that. Corner team keep it going
Great start
Great idea, import feature for google maps is buggy only 10-15 of a list of 50 will import. Wish we can also transfer or save locations to more than one already existing lists.
very cute and helpful!
It’s so rare for me to have found an app I genuinely want to tell people about but corner is really good with helping me track the places I’ve been and want to go, helps me explore places for upcoming holidays and what it does that gmaps doesn’t is it also just feels a really fun way to journal my little adventures

Best discovery app for restaurants and cafes, but could tighten up a bit.
I’ve been using Corner quite a bit over the past 5 months and it’s absolutely become my fav discovery app for restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc.
If you want to find spots that are *really* iykyk and off the beaten path, then this probably won’t catch most of them. However, it is a great amalgamation of hip Instagram/TikTok spots for if you’re traveling to a new city for the first time.
I think the biggest hurdle that Corner has is their approach to UI and the user experience. They give the user a lot of freedom in how they curate “their Corner”. The app takes a list-based approach, but things can get messy and overwhelming fast. It almost feels like they give the user so much rope that they can easily hang themselves.
For example, if you want to make a list for spots in your city, then you’ll obv start adding restaurants, cafes, clubs, boutiques, museums, etc. But now that creates a new problem of having everything mixed into one list. It just feels sloppy. I also have the problem of having places I frequent as well as bucket list spots in one list - it feels messy. So the current solution is to create multiple lists (I.e. New York cafes, New York lunch spots, New York museums, etc.) But you can also see how THAT can feel sloppy.
A solution could be master lists and sub lists. For example, ‘Toronto’ could be the master list and Cafes, Breakfast Places, TDL, Spring Trip, etc could be your sub lists within it.
All that being said, I’ve gotten used to the current format and am having fun with it, but it was daunting at first. I’ve also recommended the app to friends + family, but when they try to use it, they get overwhelmed and give up shortly after.
Last improvement I hope they make is to live up to the “Build YOUR Corner” tagline. I don’t really mesh with the vibe of most of the people on this app, and that’s fine. Yet, you see a bunch of people’s comments and lists even if you’re not following them. I think it’d be nice if you could get like 10-15 friends on the app and create your own little closed off bubble where recommendations will have higher value to you. Aka, *your* Corner.
Love this app and hope to see it succeed!

Needed
Great for curating lists of places you’ve been and want to go
Date spots, cafes, hidden gems
And then you can search other people’s lists and visit those spots too
10/10 vibes and execution

A need for listers
I used to keep lists of my favorite cafes cars and restaurants on iPhone notes
But with corner I can do it all in one place, and see what secret spots other people have found too!

Not sure what is it
The app is confusing, I cannot find easy ways to bookings and get things started.
Brilliant Idea, Perfectly Executed
I love this app. As someone who lives to travel and eat out in my home town this is the perfect companion.
I can easily store and record all of the places I’ve been and would like to go.
And for me, the best feature is the ease of sharing my lists for different cities.
Have a friend going to Hanoi? Send them your Hanoi corner. Done. No Google doc with a map link and some text.
Would recommend for anyone who likes to do…anything outside their home.
