Capture the moments your eyes miss.
1920SloMo is a high-speed camera app for iPhone designed for recording and creating ultra-slow-motion video.
Capture video natively at supported frame rates up to 240 fps, then apply 2×, 4×, or 8× frame interpolation to create smoother slow-motion playback up to 1920 fps equivalent.
High-Speed Capture
• Native capture up to 240 fps
• 2×, 4×, and 8× frame interpolation

• Up to 64× slow-motion playback
• 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios
• Variable aperture control on supported iPhone 18 Pro models
• Displays the resulting effective frame rate as settings are adjusted
• Available camera options are determined by your iPhone model and iOS version
Built for Slow Motion
• Dedicated high-speed camera interface
• Quick access to capture and interpolation settings
• Clear distinction between native capture and interpolated output

Private by Design
No account required. No personal data collection. Your recordings remain under your control on your device or selected storage destination.
High-speed recording works best in bright outdoor environments. Artificial lighting may produce flicker or other artifacts when recording at high frame rates.
Available frame rates, resolutions, cameras, and other features vary by iPhone model and iOS version.
Instructions:
1920SloMo records real video at up to 240 frames per second (fps). Interpolation estimates movement between recorded frames to create additional frames, producing up to 1920 fps equivalent slow motion—not 1920 frames captured by the camera. Interpolated videos do not include audio.
For the best results, record outdoors in bright, natural daylight. Keep your phone steady and focus on clearly visible people or objects moving smoothly in a predictable direction. Tap the screen to focus on your subject.
Avoid flashing lights, flickering LEDs, screens, dark scenes, and subjects repeatedly crossing in front of each other. These can cause flickering, warping, ghosting, or other visual artifacts. Lower interpolation levels generally produce fewer artifacts.
Shutter speed controls how much motion blur appears. Faster speeds make moving subjects sharper but let in less light, which can make video too dark or increase visible artifacts. Slower speeds brighten the image but add motion blur. Find a balance for your scene, and use the light button when extra lighting is needed.
Adjustable aperture is available only on the Main camera of iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and future compatible models. It controls how much light enters the camera and how much of the scene stays in focus.
For interpolation, Quality prioritizes visual results but takes longer to process. Performance processes faster but may introduce more artifacts. If processing is slow or fails on your device, try Performance or a lower interpolation level.
The default 4-second recording limit is recommended. Start with short clips to see how your iPhone handles processing before turning off the limit in Settings. Longer recordings can require significantly more storage, processing time, battery power, and generate more heat. For extended recording, USB 3 or faster external storage is recommended where supported. If your iPhone becomes noticeably hot, stop recording until it cools down.
The bottom-left preview button opens only the last video captured during your current app session.
Use the Apple Watch companion app to start and stop recording remotely.
