App is broken
Love the app but something is wrong. Won’t load. Deleted reinstalled and it still crashes when signing on n. Please fix.
Great idea but not all there
So I switched to this app from BNN. I live within the county of the apps origin so I figured it would be pretty decent locally. Nope. Very few actual events shared. I reached out to the admin to become a tipster. Radio silence. I think if they had more people involved maybe it would be decent. The footprint is there. Price is super reasonable. Seems like a product managed by someone with another full time job so he/she isn’t there to do the updates certain hours.

I don’t see where you put the information of the people that you want contacted if something happens. I don’t see where you put anything but your name address phone number blah blah blah where do you put your health conditions??? All the info I saw on the news that you add to it???
Terrible.
Call alerts are great but the app never gets updated! Last time was 4yrs ago. The app doesn’t fit the screen on the new iPhones. They are really slacking. Now push notifications have stopped working and will probably not be fixed anytime soon.

For a while I was able to get banner alerts on my iPhone 6 but never received anything on my iPad. My settings were all on to receive everything. As of March 2017 I am unable to get banner, sound, vibration alerts on my iPhone or my iPad. No problem with any other sounds and alerts from other Apps just this one. Unfortunately this app is of no use to me at this point.

Getting better...
I am continuing to test this service.
I have seen an improvement over the last couple of weeks. I am monitoring the events that I receive with a competitive service as well as live audio from my scanner. No service is as good as an actual scanner, but they should be Johnny on the spot for major incidents, which is not always the case. (For any service) At this point, my biggest issue is the delay time. Often times the issue is over before an alert is issued. Overall though, pretty good service for the state of Maine. I will continue to monitor and update. I will subscribe to the best service after a 90 day trial run of premium services from different applications.

Serious update needed
Does the job but definitely in need of an update.

The alerting is slow and lags, the lack of sounds, and typing when sending tips isn't good

I used to love this app but for months now it has not worked. Updates, reinstalls and still garbage. I am super disappointed that the problems have not been addressed.
APP Not Working
Talked to the director of newspaper an they said there working on fixing the app performance.its not working due to the latest update.A new update to fix the app will be available in the next coming weeks.

Customer Service
I would not recommend this app. App closes when you click on news link in app. Sent 3x an email and spoke to customer service and was told a ticket is opened. Been waiting 2.5 weeks and no result. Spoke with customer service again and threatened to cancel subscription and attitude was that is my choice.
So my choice is goodbye. PPL don't waste your money for a unfriendly app and company.

Buggy
Loading certain screens crashes the app and the alerts to not push to notifications properly on the iPhone 6. Work out the bugs and the app will be perfect, until then it is unusable.
