I can’t listen without headphones

It was working great for the last 3 weeks but now no sound is coming out unless I put on my Bluetooth headphones

No longer works

Good app made useless by apples constant updates. Latest iOS upgrade no longer allows this app to work. Tried upgrading the app and still does not work properly. Video lessons do not open. Wonderful app before this.

Not lying

Yes, as the name of the app implies, you genuinely learn all of hiragana and katakana with these apps in two hours. Four hours in total. I used these apps, and I can now fluently read hiragana and katakana fast and this was the best starting point ever. I would recommend after completing both the courses, review a hiragana/katakana chart every day, and maybe read some furigana children’s books like momotaro. Then practice writing them with correct stroke order. You can find practice pages online!

love it

This worked so well for me! only problem was the very intense American accent - “waaaach” instead of “woch” for watch to remember the あ, so quite a few didn’t stick because I had to convert the vowels in my head. But I love the learning style and am going to pay for the course on their website.

Excellent!

This is one of the best apps out there for learning and retaining Hiragana! It really “sinks into your brain”!!! Thank you for a wonderful app!!

Extremely Helpful

The best way to learn Japanese characters I’ve tried so far. Both the Katakana and Hiragana variants are unique in teaching method and highly useful!

Just started

Haven’t gotten all the way through yet, but oh my god this is awesome. It’s really working.

Best hiragana app

Been learning Japanese for a while now and have to say this is my favorite app. I tried several other apps to learn hiragana and katakana and yours is by far the best! I learnt it so quickly and the learning method is fantastic! Way to go! 👌🏻👌🏻

Nearly perfect!

This is a really brilliant app that is nearly perfect. In terms of learning Hiragana it is only let down by the fact that the author has an American accent, which unfortunately means some of his mnemonics, especially for most of the "A" syllables, just don't work. For example he uses a picture of a sock as mnemonic for the Hiragana sign for "sa" because he thinks it is a "saak".
In terms of the user interface, although videos can be paused and resumed, there is no visual feedback so you can be left waiting wondering what is happening.
A small improvement would be to enable touch identification during the "can you spot the character" part of the lessons.
Other than that I can't fault it.
Having tried several other programs, this is the one that stuck.

This app is amazing!!

This is probably the best learn hiragana app I've had ever! it's so good and I learned it in just a few hours! I can't wait to start katakana! The same method as well! I hope you make a kanji one, although I know how it would be hard because there are so many kanji, There are like 2000!! I doubt you'd be able to do all of those because there are so many. But that's OK.

6 stars If I could

I have been visiting Japan twice a year since 2010. Because I hate to be feel 4yo, unable to read or write, I have been looking into any method/apps to learn hiragana/katakana as quick as possible.
This is by any means a wicked method to learn 46 characters in few hours, or to be honest a week or so.
No other method achieved the same results.
Keep in mind that this is just a way to break the ice. After mastering hiragana you'll have a long way to go before being able to pick up and news paper and enjoy the reading.
Yet, nothing can get you started like H2H does. Thanks to the clever and generous developers

The app is really easy to use and surely teaches a great deal in only 2 hours.

Best app to memorize hiragana

One of the best app in memorizing Japanese hiragana! It has photos of real signs from Japan to practice. You just sit relax and watch videos!

Wow I learned it in 2 hours.
