Music works great, but videos constantly shut off or don’t start at all.
A Streaming App, Not a Music App
The app has a number of drawbacks. One annoying one is that you can be scrolling down to get to a category when it suddenly does a screen refresh and the page jumps on you. The biggest drawback, though, is that it can’t handle Apple’s app refresh. This means that if you go off the app for so much as five minutes, you lose your entire queue and have to start over. What makes it worse is that you have no history of what you selected, so you have to go to each album, one by one.
Another major problem is that you can’t really go back in your queue, so if you want hear a song a second time you have to select it, which kills your entire queue (if you managed to somehow not lose it in the first place).
One other big minus is the auto playlist, which has nothing in common with what you were just listening to and is basically whatever 24/6 feels like pushing at the moment—whether I like it or not.
To sum it up, it’s a nice app to stream one or two songs at a time, but it’s a very poor music app—and at this monthly price that’s pretty bad.
