New update stops music
I use this app at the outdoor pool I work at, while also playing music. I used to always be able to use this app while the music continued playing, but a recent update now stops the music when I open the app. It’s super annoying. Please fix this.
Great tool
As an athletic trainer this has been a great asset to my practice.
Deleted it when audio ads were added

Like the title says, I loved this app, but recently they snuck in audio ads that can’t be paused. To me that’s unacceptable and I’ll no longer be supporting this product and its developers.

No option to delete old city’s
This is my FAVORITE weather app!! HOWEVER, I don’t love that I am unable to delete city’s that I no longer need. It says I can, and I have been able to in the past, but now, NOT AT ALL. Really, really annoying!! Would like to see an update to help this.
Check in
I can check in on my parents even though I’m out of state. I can give them warnings ahead of time. Thank you, WB!

The Radar Function is Awful
WeatherBug is still for now my go to app app for Weather. But it is quickly becoming my least favorite. The app used to be solid and responsive, but for some reason over the last year or two, the radar maps simply refused to load. I’ve used multiple access points at multiple locations and for whatever reason WeatherBug has done something to their app to make the radar function nearly unusable. I open the app and go to radar and it takes forever to load. I would love for WeatherBug to fix this. I keep thinking that some future update will take care of it, but it has not happened yet. And just to check my sanity, I will then go onto another app and go to the radar and the images load instantly. WeatherBug, please fix your app! Until they do, I would not recommend WeatherBug.

App continually gets worse
For Frankfort, KY, this app is HORRIBLY inaccurate. I noticed today (8/13/26) there was a recent update, because as usual the radar either doesn’t load or freezes. I just updated and the radar is blank even though it is lightning and pouring down rain. So I thought I’d delete app and reinstall. Same issue. And yes, I tried the usual of restarting phone and my Wi-Fi is working just fine. Also when I come temps, this app shows 90° and the Apple Weather app will show 79°. Explain that. Even the Alexa app disagrees with your weather temperature readings.

Used Be A Five Star app, but…
The radar has been semi functional for over a month. I held off commenting thinking the problem would be addressed. Please fix it before I have to find a replacement.
Bug fixed
The loud auto-play of video was a bug and the developer fixed it quickly. Updating the review.
Update RuinedcApp
The most recent update has ruined the app. The app is lagging and can properly render graphics.
Data harvesting not weather
Used to be my go to app for weather forecasts right up until I learned that the company was purchased by “location intelligence firm” xAD aka Groundswell in 2016. You still get weather but now it’s just a cover for a foreign company to harvest your data and location for profit. Immediate uninstall.
Radar is not working properly
Something has happened lately with Weather Bug’s radar. Extremely slow to load, then it appears, then re-appears. It used to run smoothly, and now it does not. Please fix!
Used to be the best
Have used Weather Bug nearly from the beginning. It is useless now. From home screen to the hourly screen is a 20 degree difference and neither are correct. No longer get notifications for severe weather. Don’t know what is going on with developers but, it was great when they cared.
Back to being my go to updated
My original review was 1 star after ads started playing with audio and no volume control.
I was stunned at the fast response and fix from the developer that I honestly didn’t think would even reply.

Loud ads fixed—I hope
Since I complained about loud ads, even when my iPhone was on mute, the developers contacted me to say they have addressed the problem. So I am back to using WeatherBug.
Very glitchy lately
The radar is so messed up lately that the app is useless right now. We are having lots of storms, and the radar either doesn’t show the rain/storm over us when it’s actually raining or the radar disappears on and off during the 1 hour future radar. I have used this app for years and has gone from 4/5 stars to 1. Very disappointing.

Slow and stops audio
I’ve been a WeatherBug user for years and I never remember it being this terrible. It’s slow to load the maps and it stops any audio that’s playing when it opens. Really makes me want to find another weather app to use.
Great weather app
Seems reasonably accurate. Need about five different apps to get accurate weather
