Need better card view.

I ignored the comments that the cards were hard to read because the maker said they added an easier to read deck. The new deck is bigger than the original but it is still hard on your eyes. Games like Montana that have several columns are almost impossible to play. Hard to select correct card when columns and rows are squished together. If the game maker made the sidebar a popup and used the screen area better the game could be much better.

too small for my eyesight

I enjoy playing this on my mac, but find I can't read the card numbers very easily, which is why they have a magnifying glass option I suppose, still disappointing.

Very slick and good fun

With a very large selection of games and impressive presentation this app is well worth buying for the solitaire addict.

Great app but....

I'm totally addicted to this game, but have one minor problem. After playing a game or two and closing the app, the iPhone grinds to a halt and trying to type emails or SMS is painfully slow. The only option is to reboot the iPhone to get the responsiveness back.

Still cant see cards

It seems there are only 2 decks to use and the original is way to hard to see and the other deck with just numbers are not much better. In addition the latter deck tends to run together (its hard to tell one card from another). Now they said they have added an additional deck but I only see 2 decks. This is a great game if you could read the cards, and the solution could be so easy by just replicating a normal deck with oversized numbers in the corners, much the same as you see being sold in stores as "jumbo index". Cmon guys, we love the app, please please please JUMBO INDEX

Wish I could get my money back

Cards too small to read, zoom funtion only shows a portion of the screen at a time. I need to be able to see the all the cards in a readable fashion. Previous to my iPod Touch, I had a Palm PDA with a much lower resolution screeen. I had a solitaire game on it which was easily readable. There should be no problem making things readable on this screen. In addition, I will sometimes think many moves ahead (in Freecell) before deciding how to approach a situation. In these cases, I can be staring at the screen for minutes before making my move. After some seconds, this screen goes into a floating mode where the card surface starts floating around the screen in 3-D. Cool effect, but really screws up my ability to concentrate on the cards and what I'm doing. The author made a graphically very appealing game, but at the expense of playability.

Too hard to see cards. Graphics waste time.

I bought this one based on a review from a popular web site. However, I find it very difficult to see the cards. The view is unnecessarily hard to view. The 3-D view shows you what the iPhone can do, but makes it more difficult to play card games. Also, every time you move a card it has to twirl around. It's cute the first couple of times, but then it becomes annoying. I prefer an easy-to-read screen with snappy game play. This one has disappointed me.

Dont buy

I also ignored the reviews (all of them) that talked about the size of the cards... and i regret it. im 19 years old with great vision and i still struggle to see the cards... i love spider and i cant play it because the cards are way too small. Unfortunately i found another game (it was free) with bigger cards its called sol free solitaire and its much better. im not makin publicity for the app or anything (it doesnt have Spider!!!). another bad thing about solitaire forever.... it slows down my iphone... really bad they should find a way to turn off the app when ur done because it really slows down the Iphone. well just dont buy it... wait until they fix all the bugs

Great solitaire game

I previously wrote a 1-star ranting review about this game. I said if the developer fixed my issues I would revise my statements: I now take it back. This is now a great game. The new "easy to read" cards are now MUCH more readable. It contains loads of games (150+). The game works in both landscape and portrait, but I personally find it easier to play in landscape. Also, you can now play the game while you listen to your music. The only thing I dislike about this game is the rules can be a bit hard to follow, there are no pictures or concrete examples explaining gameplay - just a terse but complete set of rules, but I have Google at my fingertips so I can always read somebody else's description. Also the text below the icon contains "..." because "Solitaire Forever" doesn't fit on the screen. Looks funny. These little things should't be enough to sway you to another program, though. If you are a solitaire fan, I can easily recommend this game. I don't see that any of the other iPhone solitaire games are as feature complete as this one.

Awesome!

The update for this app addresses my two gripes; playing iTunes while playing the game and seeing the cards with my tired, old eyes! Kudos to the DEV team! Unfortunately, I'll have to go to the Apple store to buy that extra battery pack for my phone now. :)
