Reviews of Texas Hold’em

  • Fantastic but has issues on iOS/iPadOS 18

This is easily still the most fun solo poker app I’ve ever used, however the update to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 has caused issues with the backgrounds in the main UI elements. I really hope Apple chooses to fix this rather than take the app down again!
  • Not bad

Good for a practice but there doesn’t seem a way to see how many payers are left and how much money they have other than tapping on them individually. It’s seen in a POV way which is realistic but would be nice to have a button to quickly view the whole table and see who’s got how much money remaining.
  • RIGGED & EGREGIOUSLY STATS DEFYING

The game determines outcomes and your win rate regardless of actual hand probabilities. Read the other reviews about how often your winning hand that has dominant odds loses to someone who had 3 or less outs on the river. Or how often you lose despite having 12-15 outs from the flop. The worst part is you’re going to lose because your trips you flopped will frequently lose to a runner-runner hand on the turn and river. In this app it’s so common. The app encourages bad play and opponents seem to know the cards (who the heck goes all in on 4-9 off suit on low pair with when there is already a potential straight and flush on the table?!). The computer clearly cheats and the app rigs the outcomes against you.

The app may be good to pass time but don’t expect it to play fair. This app is probably worse than any of the others in terms of TILT & rigged AI play.
