4.3

February 12, 2019

Converter 4.3 supports the new iPhone X, improves unit selection, and makes decimals easier to enter in the calculator. • You can now search the units in a category by name. • The currency picker now divides currencies into alphabetical sections and lets you jump to a section. • The currency picker now places the default currency for the user's device near the top of the list so it's easier to find. • Converter now supports the iPhone X, and will keep content out of areas where it might be covered up.

4.2

October 3, 2017

Converter 4.2 includes fixes and improvements to make Converter more pleasant to use. • Bug fixes: • Customers who have switched from 24-hour time to 12-hour time will now be able to use their currency subscriptions. We’re very sorry about this bug! • Design tweaks: • Icons are now filled in so they’re easier to see. • Temperature and Data have new icons. • We’ve swapped a couple categories around to balance the icons better. • Many graphics are now sharper on iPhone Plus and iPhone X models. • We’ve added Taptic Engine feedback for some actions. • Performance improvements: • Fixed a small delay when switching between categories. • Made some animations happen quicker.

4.1.2

September 25, 2017

This version improves the functionality of the "Restore" button so that customers can use a single currency subscription on several different devices. WHAT'S NEW IN CONVERTER 4.1: We’re consolidating our three versions of Converter down to one, so this version is based on Converter Neue’s more modern design. Changes from Converter Neue include: • Converter is now free. The currency section unlocks with a ridiculously cheap in-app subscription. • We’ve added over 100 new currencies, including Bitcoin. • Converter for iPad isn’t a separate app anymore—it’s part of Converter. • We now support iOS 11, larger iPhone screens, and landscape mode. • We’ve tweaked the design a bit to make certain things more readable. We've also fixed a few bugs: • Entering Celsius temperatures actually works. • Fractions are now correctly formatted. • We are using a new, more reliable source of exchange rates—if a currency was showing “(Rate unavailable)” before, it will probably work fine in this version. We hope you like the new version of Converter, and we hope the exchange rate subscription will let us spend a lot more time improving it!

3.1.0

October 1, 2012

I've spent the last week making Converter 3.1 into the best unit converter for iPhone 5. Converter takes full advantage of the new 4″ Retina Display, and switching categories, selecting units, and entering amounts has never been easier. Converter 3.1 also includes new icons for many categories and a redesigned interface for rearranging the category list on devices with 3½″ displays. You can now switch units between formats like "3 gal. 8 cups" and "3½ gal." by holding your finger down on the amount. And I've fixed a common crash in unit searching. Whether you're breaking in a brand new iPhone 5 or sticking to your trusty old iPhone or iPod, I hope you enjoy this update!

3.0.0

March 29, 2012

Converter 3.0 is a major update, with improvements to both its appearance and functionality. Converter now shows fractions down to 1/64 for many non-metric units, and allows fractions to be entered into the calculator. It also knows that some units, such as feet or stone, are conventionally used with a smaller unit, like inches or pounds, and allows you to see and enter those units in that format. Converter has also been restyled, with a more textured theme and an improved calculator design. An About Converter screen has also been added. I hope you enjoy the new Converter. Please leave a review if you do! If you have any trouble, visit http://converterapp.com/questions—or just hit Support on the About Converter screen!—and I'll see if I can help you.

2.7.1

May 24, 2011

Converter 2.7.1 allows you to search the units in a category—just scroll to the very top of the unit list and tap in the search field. This is especially useful for currencies! This version also corrects a crashing bug on iPhone 3G and second-generation iPod touch devices. We apologize to anyone affected by this issue. This version is the first to be tested with a new pre-release procedure that should help reduce the chance of similar bugs in the future.

2.7.0

May 16, 2011

Converter 2.7 makes the currency updater compatible with the Bank of Canada's new exchange rate format. This will allow Converter to update its currencies once more. Converter 2.7 also allows us to adjust to similar small changes in the future without waiting for Apple to review the app. Converter now checks with Architechies for new exchange rate sources or tweaks to their formats. This configuration can also allow us to customize error messages to better communicate what's going on. Finally, Converter 2.7 fixes a bug that could cause the currency updater to display messages even when you weren't on the Currency screen. As part of the extensive changes to the currency updater in this release, Converter now requires iOS 4.0 or later. iOS 4 is a free update for everyone. If you haven't upgraded yet, plug your device into iTunes to get started.

2.6.3

August 12, 2010

Reviews of Converter (unit conversions)

  • Great / Simple

    Clean , simple no nonsense.
Just wish you could stay on one screen to scroll through conversion options while viewing results on the fly. For example: since there is so much space (read uncluttered- I like) it would be nice to spin through say Inch/Foot/Yard etc. while staying on results screen. If it had this it would be a perfect app.
  • Currency rates have not been updated

I continue to get an error that currency rates have not been updated in almost a year. Something wrong with the server. No technical support. Subscription is worthless. Otherwise I like how the app functions. But not worth paying for.
  • Review

I really enjoy this app! I am a chef and this helps me so much while at work and home!
However, in the last few months the app won’t work correctly. I have to open and shut the app over and over again in order for it to work.
