What's the confusion?
Not sure why so many people are bamboozled by this, at first I couldn't get it to wok either but realised u have to start off playing with your device flat then it's easy and I land it nearly every time! U just tilt to control thrust. Ok game but not much longevity to it.
Fun but hard
This game is simple but challenging. The trick is to use the least amount of fuel to land the craft as fast as possible. I wish the developer would rework the app so we could listen to music and podcast while playing the game.
CrashLander
Ok first of all I've been looking for this app for urs now. Finally found it!! Now I'm my thoughts, this app is great fun. Don't listen to ppl that say bad stuff about this app. If you get the Hang of it you will enjoy playing it occasionally. You can't really complain because it is a free app that dent have any ads on it. Sou have a sweet deal. However to the developers, you should create more fun levels with different spaceships.

Great game
It's a great simple free game with good enough graphics. Just a few things...a tilt calibrater would be very helpful cause it's kind of annoying to have to sit up a certain way just to play. Also pls supply more difficulty settings maybe make the platform bigger I think the main reason this app has low ratings is because some people think that just because it's challenging it's a bad game.

I love this app!
It might not be much of an app but it still is pretty fun. After getting the hand of landing it gets fun and addicting!

the concept is simple: land. the controls are easy: tilt left, right, up, down. fire the thrusters when necessary, but don't run out of fuel.
this app takes advantage of the accelerometers in the iPhone, therefore the controls (tilting) are very touchy. if the landing pad is too far off just tap the screen to restart the session. when you crash take note of the three indicators at the top: speed, angle, position. any red indicators will tell you why you crashed. you have to land under a certain speed, within a certain angle, and positioned correctly. it takes a delicate touch to land. I give it 5/5 for being easy to use, yet challenging enough to make addictive, and shows what the iPhone can do. high score to date: 9873. a great game that you play a few rounds in a couple of minutes.

Addicting but not great
I was stcuk playing this game for nearly half an hour, it only took me about 3 seconds to learn how to land it, but it's addicting! After about 30mknutes I thought to myself, why have I been playing this???? It's not a great game, but it suceeds in giving you something todo and is extremely addicting!!!

Very good game - could use one improvement
This is just the game I was looking for, and it's free! I can't believe all the people complaining about it - I guess because it actually takes finess and is somewhat difficult until you master it, much like the real thing! The only thing that kept me from giving it 4 stars is the fact that the thrust is either on or off. With the accuracy of the tilt sensors in the touch, the game should allow variable throttle based on tilt angle. Please add this feature (and I will buy it then)!
