My fave app so far
A completely creative and addictive app, people have said previously that it crashes, I have found since 2.1 its pretty much flawless. Have had some cracking conversations and lost many hours on this thing, recommended.
Addictive
I am seriously addicted to this app. Things I'd like to see in the future, though:
* A way to keep a friends list, to respond back to favorite people. Now, if you don't reply right away and swap another photo, the chance is gone forever.
* A way to save photos. Right now, I'm taking a screen shot and uploading the best ones to Flickr (search for the photoswap group).
* A way to rate photos. There's so much crap out there, maybe we could rate the worst, and then the worst people could end up trading with each other.

Almost perfect...
I downloaded this just to see what it did. I am now addicted to it. In fact my wife who now has it on her iphone sent a pic while we were at dinner and I received it - freaked me out. The voyeur in me loves getting a glimpse of a random strangers life. Anyhow my only 3 compliants is that there seems to be a lag in between the time you click the picture and the time it actually takes the picture. Unfortunatley there a lot of pics of MALE CROTCHES floating around on this thing. Lastly, if you look up the location of a received pic on the map you have to reopen the program to take pics again. This is a great app with lots of potential...

I am incredibly addicted to this app! Best free app I have dloaded so far.....genius idea, never crashes, and cool photos from all over the world. If you dload this and use it: try to be creative with your photos, you will be surprised by what you get back.....I beg of you to join in, take your phone everywhere, and grab some interesting photos...IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: To take a screenshot (a picture of what is on your iPhone’s screen), just quickly press and release your Home Button and Power Button at the same time. The screen will flash white, indicating that a screenshot has been taken. The screenshot is added your iPhone’s Camera Roll. To view the screenshot, select the Photos option on your SpringBoard and then Camera Roll. This is the only way you will get to save any of the epic photos you receive! Enjoy

Brilliant idea!
Really addictive. Love it. Only thing I wish it would do is save what you take. Even if you could register on a site and have all your pic conversations recorded some how. Some of mine have been brill. And some dodgy. As soon as you put you are female in the settings I have been getting men take pictures of their croches and their message in their info is 'I don't report!' so you can guess what sort of pics they expect back! If this happens would be a good way of having a record of it. Otherwise I LOVE it. I have took some cracking photos just no way of keeping them. Even being able to reuse pics could be good also. =)

Fantastic idea, well executed.
This is a great 'taster' of what I hope it will become. Its a great app for iPhone and I can see it being the 'next big thing'!
Swapping pictures is real fun. But it will become even better when I can save threads. And retain a list of the contacts and their pictures and get back to someone of my choice. Or 'blacklist' at my discretion ...
Also it would be better if I could rotate and/or zoom. But I guess you get what you pay for - and this is free!
I, for one, could be willing to subscribe to this service once it has been improved.
Well done, Team Padadaz

You might be surprised.
I have had a fun weekend with this deceptively simple little app. As the user base grows, I'm sure the quality of swaps will increasingly improve. As it is, I've already had several ongoing (from minutes to hours) theme-based swaps and some great little exchanges from far-flung places, plus a now five-day long (and going!) swap with another user in Finland (I'm in Detroit, Michigan, USA). My input on suggested changes would be YES to some sort of bookmarking/favorites feature but NO to using existing photos. What makes this app so great is the immediacy of it. You know the photo just happened because that's the only way it can work!

Great App, very very addictive
Great App. Very addictive. Friends & family fight over iphone to send snaps. Bewarned though, once you get into a photoswap conversation, watch your battery life disappear right before your eyes. If you’re on the go and need to make/receive that important call, make sure you carry a recharging cable otherwise you’ll be screwed. Needs a simple way to add short messages to pictures as you send them. Add this and they’re onto a winner. Many people seem to want to exchange contact details after swapping photos. Workaround this by including your email address in the setting/nickname or info box. Also we have been sent many nice photos and there’s no way to save them or view them online – such a shame… Luv it still… try for yourself…

Awesome, but missing two features.
This is a great app and is a lot of fun. It becomes like a scavenger hunt, back and forth, as you and the person you're exchanging photos with give each other ideas and the "conversation" progresses...without words! There are two very obvious missing features. The first is the ability to contact the person you're exchanging photos with. This is very important, because every now and then you'll really "click" with someone in the photo exchange and it would be great to be able to email or text them to get to know each other better. PhotoSwap is, after all, a social networking application, so how does one expand one's social network without actually making new friends? The second missing feature is the ability to save pictures. There are two approaches to overcoming the objections of people who don't want their photos saved:
1) Don't send sensitive or personal photos
2) Add a preference to the application that allows users to decide whether their photos are "savable" by the recipients
Some of the photos I received were hilarious and it's sad that I can't save them to laugh at later.
Overall, great app. Just add the two missing features.

Fun and addictive!
My only complaint is that you can't look back through previous replies and photos received. Also would be nice to have the option of saving your own photos taken with Photoswap into your iPhone photo library. A great idea though and lots of fun so far!
