Awesome!

Exactly what I have been looking for! I have been using the regular stopwatch on my iphone for my tabata training but recently it just hasn't seemed to be good enough in that it doesn't beep every 20 and 10 seconds. But thankfully you guys made this program! Awesome stuff!

Very Useful App

I have been using this app for about a week now. I was using their Interval timer app, but this new one works for me so much better. I have been doing the Couch to 5k training program, and thanks to this app I no longer have to cut times off to fit the training regimen into only 3 timers. The only problem I have been having is the program crashes every now and then while setting up the timers. But it has never crashed while running. Thanks!

Pretty Good, but needs a little work

Ur last update bumped my review up 2 stars, but one thing that bugs me is when the timer is running, the graphics are really bad. Not a big deal, but it'd b nice to see improvement, also we need more sounds (sounds that are good during excercising). Finally, it'd be really cool to have it so that a timer doesn't run, it just beeps for half a second and then the next timer starts running. So when running in place a hear a beep, I jump up and get back up and then the run counter starts again

Getting close

Newest upgrade addresses just about everything. Still wish I could adjust volume of sounds via a via iPod music. Also wish it had a sliding start button, so you don't turn it off by accident while working out. Would be nice to be able to fast forward and reverse through intervals so you can start in the middle of sequence, if you do accidentally turn it off.

Custom timers don't save

This app is great and fits my needs perfectly only it doesn't save the timers I create, which I spent lots of time on putting together. When you leave the app and go into something else and come back to it it goes back to default with only the example timers available and my custom timers are gone. This would be a 4-5 star review if not for this problem.

Very Useful.. but needs some improvements

Ultra timer has been very useful for my music practice and Yoga. I can set the sub-timers and works awesome. However I noticed that it requires a few improvements. 1. The iphone screen is ALWAYS ON as long as the ultratimer is running. This can drain the battery life. For example, if one were to use the "default" Ergonomic timer for 8 hrs, the battery would probably have gone dead long before the expiry of 8 hrs.... My suggestion is to shut off the screen after 1 min or so (ie follow the default behaviour of iphone settings) but light up at the end of every interval. 2. It would be very useful to have restartability for every interval instead of the entire program. To illustrate this, assume you have created a "profile" called "Yoga" which has 5 timers of varying durations. It would be nice to have the facility to stop timer 1 before expiry and move on to timer 2 OR stop timer 1 before it expires, skip timer 2 and move on to timer 3. This would make this timer very flexible. 3. I also noticed one potential weakness of this app. While the timer was running, I received a phone call on my iphone. After completed the call, I noticed that the ultratimer had stopped. I would have liked the ultratimer to either be running or paused. That way if I tap on the ultratimer, it will continue from the prev state. Other than the above this timer is awesome.

Really needs a way to select what part of an interval to repeat!

Well this app has everything I suggested way back for the round timer. BUT i totally agree with the other reviewer it does need a copy paste type feature. As an example to do burpees I start with 40 seconds of burpees and 20 seconds rest but every 5 minutes 1 minute rest. So can set up one intervall clone it 4 times and change the end timer, then I can repeat this whole thing 3 times and that gets me my first 15 minutes. BUT the next 7 minutes I do 30 seconds on 30 seconds off, and the last 7 minutes I do 20 seconds on 40 seconds off. Since you can't repeat only Part of the loop I actually had to make 3 separate timers. First stage, second stage, third stage burpees. It would be nicer if you could check off intervals and then say to repeat the checked ones x times or x minutes and they would automatically add to the end of the list. If you could do this you could say make 40 seconds on 20 seconds off check them both and say repeat 14 times. then make a 30 seconds on 30 seconds on and check just those two off then say repeat 6 times then make just a 20 seconds on 40 seconds off check just those 2 and say repeat 6 times. and Violla 1 timer made with only 3 entries instead of needing three different timers or spending and hour manually entering each interval by hand after the first loop.

No Sound on iPod Touch

I really had hoped that this application would answer my various timing needs, but while it is promising the biggest drawback is that on the iPod touch the timer sounds don't sound and there is no vibrate. The built-in timer on the iPod touch manages to produce rudimentary sounds, so I would be grateful if the author of this application could at least have those available for iPod touch users. Another thing that seems to be missing is how you tell the timer how many times you wish to run through your predefined timer (eg. once, a specified number of times, or until you manually tell it to stop). My final request is to be able to specify sounds for when an interval has ended. If you have a predefined timer for, say, making a cup of tea, you only want to know when it's finished, not have a sound for when you start the timer.

Not bad. Could be better with a few changes

Wanted a timer so I could build exercise programs for my workout. This seems to fit the bill but needs a few changes to be 100% what I want. 1) Would be great if you could record via the inbuilt mic your own sounds that you could assign to an event. 2) Ability to select a sound from your ring tones rather than just the inbuilt sounds. That way I could add nice verbal cues to my timers like "100% effort" or "Okay now rest for 30". Not a big request but it would make my workouts a bit more custom. 3) Once you have created a timer it would be great if I could reuse it in another timer. As an example the default Circuit Training timer has a sub-set of timers like Push-Ups, Lunges etc. Would be great if I could create my own version of the Circuit Training timer (I know I can edit the original) and Pick-N-Mix it with sub-timers that have been used elsewhere (saves duplication if you have several workouts that you rotate ). 4) I know this timer is not made 100% for fitness geeks but if we could share and download fittness timers from your website (via the app) that other users have made that might be a nice feature. Had a few total iPhone lock ups with this app in the hour or so I have been playing with it. Mainly when setting intervals I.E. Select "Choose Timer Duration" select 10 minutes. Hit the interval button again and select 5 minutes and the iPhone locks up. Needs a hard reset to recover and your custom timer is deleted. Looking forward to seeing how this app evolves and at this price you can't really go wrong if you want a flexible timer. Will be a 5 star if I can add my own sounds :-)
