  • Oops I told you the wrong settings.

It's actually Proremote Port 1 for both, not Proremote MIDI Port. Please see previous Mysterfish Review. It took me a while to get it working properly but it is Awesome. Thanks Again.
  • Exactly what it should be!

First off, I laughed at the idea of this app when it first came out at its introductory price (The full version, ProRemote). I considered it to be one of those "hey, look what I can do with my iphone!" apps that really serves no purpose. I still feel that the iphone is no replacement for a real control surface, however multi-touch does allow you to mix multiple channels at once, something you cannot do with a mouse. That leads me to believe that ProRemote should be worth it for those that cannot afford an 003 or Command 8. I purchased ProTransport, as I find it very affordable and just what I need. I use it to control my ProTools LE system while I am in my booth recording. It works great for this, especially since I have a VGA monitor in my booth that can show me the timeline and/or the video. Timecode displays perfectly. The instructions to setup ProTransport (and ProRemote) are very well outlined on the authors website. If you have any issues the best way to get support is to contact the author using his AIM account which is provided on the website. I have found that he is very helpful in resolving problems, just be sure to get him during business hours. All in all great app, even though I was skeptical at first. Thanks!

  • Better than I could've hoped

I'm running ProTools HD 3. I was wary of this software because of some of the bad reviews. However, it was extremely easy to install. The online instructions were well written and easy to understand. I had this thing up and running in minutes. My life will be so much easier now that I can record drums without having to run in and out of my control/live rooms. Anyone that says it's hard to install is not computer savvy. It's extremely simple. This is an incredible product. Any other options for protools remotes are WAY more expensive than $7.99. I also can't believe how fast it is, there is no lag whatsoever. I was really surpised by that.

  • Great little Transport controller

I got this to use with Apple's current edition of Logic Studio, and from my first try it shows potential of being very useful . I don't have to plug in my jog Shuttle Pro anymore which can be hard to see the buttons in low light as they don't light up like with the iPhone's screen and you also have to lay it on a flat table surface unlike the iPhone held in your hand. In fact I can see myself being able to play and add a part on the keyboard with one hand while operating the various controlls using Pro Transport on the iPhone being held in the other hand, with no cables and being easily visible in low light with the iPhone's screen.

There was a small issue however and I'm sure it will be updated or it could even be down to Logic Studio or even my set-up; this was to do with the 'scrub/shuttle' and a couple of other functions on the pad area in that it wasn't quite giving the desired graduation/variance effect from left to right (more of a step from nothing to normal speed play)... I'm sure there's a reason for this and it will be overcome soon.

Fantastic product though, and I hope eventually to invest in the fully blown Pro Remote version.

  • Works great good price

Works fine on Pro Tools 8 LE on my Mac Book Pro 2.33. Nice job and price is right.
  • It's okay, as long as you don't have a control surface!

In my case I have a Control 24 on my HD rig and a Command 8 on my LE rig, and you have to go into Pro Tools > Setup > Peripherals > Midi Controllers and disable either the C|24 or C|8. Then assign your peripherals to HUI and select ProRemote. After that it works fine. I want something that I can just use to control the transport bar with when I am tracking rough vocal ideas in the booth and don't have my engineer sitting behind the controls. If I were you I would just buy iTap for $1.99. All you need it to do (in my case at least) is use the cursor control over your Mac to start and stop recording on the transport. Waste of $7!

  • Works great, but slight issue with 002

Easy to connect, works great. Only problem (and this is not the developers fault, merely how ProTools works) is that when I move control banks on my 002, the 002 jumps past channels 9-16 as they are controlled by the ProTransport server! However, I can nudge along 1 at a time and they appear. Wierd. Good app though.

  • Nice remote!!!!

It works fine and is very useful the only thing that is missing is the ability to see at least the waveform or midi contents of 1 track in the scrub section. But I am glad that it is priced reasonably and don't regret the purchase.
  • Great

Works great. Just what I was looking for in Logic to control a session in my home studio from another room. Well worth the price, Got it up and working in 2 min. No delay or crashing. I see no additional slow down to my system. Good job, thank you. By the way, I am really glad that Apple has changed their policies on reviews. If your other products work as well as this, I will purchase your Pro software soon.
