Word of the day is great

I look forward to seeing the note that i have a new word and learning that new word everyday. I like that it gives you sample sentences

Superb

Seriously the developers have done an awesome job. I never can be bothered writing reviews but this is an exception. You have made a brilliant app. Thank you. It's super easy and the voice recorder makes it super easy to compare my pronounciation.

Nice

I'm using this app to help me thru a Europe trip easy to learn

Easy going Italian

I love this app and it's easy to use format. The word of the day is a fun activity to share around the house.

Could be much much better

The idea of this is to learn words but it needs a little (a lot) more imagination with the words. Basic words most people know but do we really need to be told words like: no, Berlino for Berlin, autobus, calendario, CD for CD, jogging, manager, computer, zebra, ketchup, parco, ornitorinco for platypus. The list goes on. Please let us have some words we can use and not the exact English word.

Italian

Love this app-would like a little more information on certain words, like people, places and food.
I'm not always sure what they are. But am learning much.
Thank you

A worthwhile APP

The best thing is that a new word is sent every day and that reminds you to study and keeps your interest. Further, the pronunciation is handy and the APP is attractive.

D

Great app for keeping up ongoing study. I like the 'word of the day' which helps to add to my vocabulary, phrases good too. Altogether a very useful & easy to use app. I just need to spend more time using it!

The basics.

For years I've wondered, how certain vowels and consonants were pronounced, and now I know. Proper pronunciation and a lot of practice will help. This app has made a difference .

Good, but has A few issues

I've taken Italian courses several times and in general I think this is a good app. It does need some proofing...as the Alphabet chart is truncated so the the right side is cut off and you cannot read explation for each letter. The accents explanation is riddled with typos where the tried to shoe an accented letter e. it shows up with a keyboard glotch each time -A@, instead of Γ©.
Some of the vocabulary words are no brainers as well. They give Italian named food and places which are the same in Italian and English. Why not give generic terms like beach or potatoes, not Amalfi Coast and spaghetti.
Otherwise it's free version is a handy tool to learn the basic language, its history and the geography of Italy, with some useful phrases & words. The Record feature is a nice addition to play back your practice pronounciation.
