Β£2.99 isn't exactly cheap, but this seems to be the closest app to a proper IRC client, and it works well. Very impressed, and like the simple GUI.

Easy to use, clean and minimal UI, very fast to connect. Works great with znc proxy.

HOW THE HEK YA USE THIS S**T APP? PRETTY EXPENSIVE FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESNT WORK....
Meh..
Takes increasingly long to connect to servers over 3g. But when connected to a wifi network works as instructed and as advertised :) - Lags sometimes and I need to reconnect to my wifi. Fix and it's 5 stars.

Nice application. Very simple and effective. Please update it so you don't disconect when you do something else. Gets very annoying after a while.

This app is awesome I would recomend. If your looking for an irc and in my opinion I would prob pay more. Would be cool in future to see few updates like have a server list, maybe few scripts, and when u select someone have more options instead of just whois and give op maybe add like ban and other things would make this app perfect. Overall this app is awesome I love it. Thank you for this app. Also wish I didn't have to keep retuping this because nicks were taken -.-

Excellent
I use the desktop version of Limechat, so wasn't surprised to discover the iPhone app was just as intuitive. Limechat allows multi-channel, multi-room Irc chat with very little fuss.
Great IRC app!
Excellent IRC app, especially for connecting to IRC proxies. This is the only IRC app I've used that can handle a proxy sending large backlogs. Connects quickly, responds quickly, UI is intuitive. Love the arrows for channel switching and activity notification.
Two requests:
1) Nick completion. It's a must for IRC (especially with the iPhone's soft keyboard), and it's the only reason this app didn't get another star from me. Mobile Colloquoy's implementation is awesome.
2) It would be great to be able to swipe between channels the same way we swipe between home screens.
