Whether using app via a traditional streaming service or via cellular data this is horrible!

Trying to see news but ads are #1

With the WHSV app you go to the settings gear on the top right and notifications are there - where on earth are they here???
What happened?
Near as I can figure, I got a pop-up ad as soon as I selected news. when I cleared off the ad, the site went to a white screen which I could not leave. This makes the app unusable of course so I deleted it. Hopefully, I’m the only one having this problem. Why do news organizations have such a hard time getting this right?

Every item needs a way to delete or at least close so I don’t have to see items I’m not interested in.

Labeling “everything” as breaking news and pushing notifications out for everything makes the feature useless.

This app seems to have stopped working right. Notifications don't come up right at all and it crashes a lot.
Does not open
Ever since the big new update the app does not open. Maybe once in a blue moon but it’s the same logo page every time and it does not allow me into the actual app.
Update: Now the app does not open at all. I am deleting. Maybe you should ask advice from your friends at CBS19. They were able to redesign their app and SURPRISE it opens with no problem.

Does not open since update
App doesn’t open since the big format change. I’ve uninstalled, then re-installed. I’m done.
change for the worse
The recent format update is terrible. News stories aren’t updated as frequently and there seems to be less news; just multiple links for the same few articles. Also, I have to search through a menu to find local news, instead of just one click. Please bring back the old format!
Less video, more written content.
Most places I am I can’t listen to your video but would read your articles. Seem 90% of your content is video.
Weather
Sure wish NBC29 would consider having a separate weather app with a future cast radar. You might consider looking at other stations to replicate their weather. Two suggestions would be WLEX out of Lexington, KY and WKYT out of that same area. I still use those apps, but can’t get weather alerts from them in this area. Such a shame to combine news and weather in one app.

New update crashes immediately upon clicking to open. Repeated attempts. iOS 10 for iPhone 6.
Won't Open
After last update , app will not open on any devices.
