About

2ButtonPlex is designed for users who need a simplified way to get to downloaded videos from their personal Plex Media Server. Videos are presented in a clear grid, no scrolling or swiping. Simply tap to select. Alternatively, users can use two-button scanning and selecting to navigate. When scanning, the app highlights your selection with a bright blue outline and can announce the title. Selected videos open full-screen without opening the Plex app. Setup is easy. Users, attendants, or guardians can connect to their Plex Media Server, browse for the videos, and download them to watch later. Parental lock is available to disable any changes to settings. Optional two-button access maps Spacebar to scan and Enter to select, which means the user can use Origin Instruments’ Tapio or AbleNet’s Blue2 devices. There are options to save the original source file or ask the server for different qualities— 1080p, 720p, or 480p, to save space. Use Wi-Fi-only downloading when you prefer. Check progress, retry failed downloads, and manage storage from within Settings. A Plex Media Server and access to its videos are required to browse and download your library. Download availability and transcoding depend on your server configuration and permissions. Smaller quality options require server transcoding; original files must be compatible with your device. Quality settings do not upscale the source video. A short built-in sample lets you try offline playback without connecting a server. 2ButtonPlex is an independent client and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Plex. Only download media you have permission to access.
