Learn the 2Day Method first — pls fix app!

Another reviewer seems to not understand what this app was made for. In the 2Day method, you have no need to track what type of mucus (or secretions) you are making — only whether or not you have them at all. Of course, this means that women who produce lots of secretions are unable to use the method without lots of abstinence. If you want to know if the 2Day method works for you, learn more about it from Georgetown University’s website on the method. If the method is a good fit for you, then the app works really great! Last time I used it, I loved how simple it was, and could keep notes in the app too.

Unfortunately when I downloaded it to my new phone, it refuses to open. No idea why. But it’s a shame because I was very willing to try out the method again. For this I had to bump it down from five stars to three stars. Otherwise, the app I remember was a joy to use.

Great method but not so pretty

This is a well researched method. You dont have to know everything about fam to use it. Love the method! The app could be a lot prettier though.

Won’t even open.

First major issue: the app won’t open. Tap it, it starts to open and immediately crashes and closes.
Second major issue is what seems to be a misleading presentation of the effectiveness of fertility awareness based methods. The app description says the method is so easy to use it’s more effective than sympto-thermal methods and ovulation (cervical mucus only) methods. However, tapping through to the website the efficacy stats cited for the Two Day Method of 96% perfect use and 86% typical use) do not compare favorably to the best quality research on fertility awareness based methods we have... the Sensiplan sympto-thermal method (99.8% perfect use and 98% typical use) Marquette method (99.4% perfect use and 93-94% typical use), Billings Ovulation Method’s India Medical Taskforce study (98% perfect use and 89% typical use), or the Creighton Model (99.4-99.6% perfect use efficacy, typical use in these studies was calculated too differently to make a comparison.)
That’s a problem. This does sound like a very easy method to follow, and the efficacy may well be good enough for some people’s needs. But perfect use of approx 96% means that four women out of a hundred using the method over one year will find themselves unexpectedly pregnant despite having followed the method correctly. Another ten on top of that will find themselves pregnant *because* they used the method incorrectly, despite its simplicity.

This is a joke.

I entered today that I had "secretions" and he app told me pregnancy likely... yeah uh nope. First of all, we don't have secretions, we have cervical fluid or cervical mucous. Secondly, i marked that I had "secretions" because I have lots of creamy cervical fluid happening. That is not a peak type fluid! So how can this app say pregnancy likely?? I know exactly when I'm fertile based on FAM symptoms-thermal method, and I am NOWHERE near my fertile window.
