Pro violinist here, old enough to remember the Tuning CD that had a bunch of different chord drones intended as a practice aid. This does that and is customizable! It’s clean, intuitive, and fast. The only thing it doesn’t do that I would appreciate—but would clutter up the interface I suppose—is to allow for pitch calibrations smaller than 1hz (so that one could achieve temperaments other than Equal).

Droan is unpleasant sounding
Seems to work as advertised, but the drone is a really annoying went on the saw wave setting and too quiet on all other settings.

This app has been a great way to practice! It has no ads and it a utility that does not exist otherwise. Must Buy!

When producing music with clients in the recording studio, two of my most common activities are tapping a tempo to find the right groove for the arrangement, and finding notes to fit vocal harmonies.
