Buyer beware

I purchased this a couple days ago and the app is blank. I’ve reached out 2x to support with zero response. The app is just blank except for messages and help and neither are working. Don’t waste your money!

Does app function

Downloaded but nothing there but a list of food. No free trial evident and no subscription evident. No functionality within app. Is it still functioning.

App doesn’t load

Blank screen when opening the app

So unappetizing

I don’t know who took the pictures but all the recipes have super unappetizing pictures

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback, sorry you're not happy with the app.

I just got the app and it won’t open

So I just got the app and it won’t open. I’ve powered down my device, I’ve done countless things to fix this. I want to open the app. Pleasee

Tasty main dish, but not meals

Many of the “meal” options are not meals. It gives some tasty recipe options for a main dish, such as a burger or sausage patty or pork tenderloin, but that doesn’t make a meal. We need at least a veggie option on the side, or ability to add sides in the plan, or add items to the shopping list for sides.

The variety of main dishes are great, the recipes are easy and tasty, and I like the shopping list feature, but this needs some enhancements for me to make it worth the cost.

Thank you so much for your feedback about this! We appreciate your thoughts. If the recipe is simple like you mentioned we usually include in the "Directions/Instructions" to add a salad or some steamed veggies to the side. We will look into how to make this more clear and efficient for grocery shopping and meal prepping. Thanks again. if you have other feedback, email me anytime: Kelly@HealthyHappySmart.com

I’m confused…

I see in the details where you say there is a 7 day free trial, but I cannot seem to find this option. I get to a screen that offers cost options of monthly and yearly. I would really like to try this app and see all the features to determine if it’s something I could use, but I would like to examine it first without committing to payment.

Hello - to get the free 7 day trial, you must choose the monthly option: tap on the MONTHLY subscription then hit the continue button. This will give you a free trial for you to try out all features in the app. You can cancel anytime during the 7 days if it's not right for you. OR, you can choose to switch to annual if you love the app and want to save money! Email me for questions: Kelly@HealthyHappySmart.com

$9.99 for app that looks free

Bad advertising. I always want to upgrade if I get a good positive experience with the app. But I’m not buying a nap for 10 bucks that I haven’t even gotten a chance to try.

Response from developer

Hi there. You can try it for free, with the monthly subscription we give a free 7 day trial. No commitment needed, you can cancel anytime during the free 7 days and and you will not be charged anything. Please consider changing your review, it's false information that only hurts us by being incorrect.

Charged for the app

I was charged for the app before I even started the 7 day free trial. Usually you can try it out then decide, at least I thought?!!

Horrible

Horrible app. I went ahead with the $29.99 yearly charge. The app glitched and wouldn’t go through and I had no access. So closed the app and tried again. Decided to try the “7 day free then $9.99/mo” option. Charged me $9.99 twice and still no access...

Easy, simple, delicious

This is really the only app/cookbook you need!!!!! Seriously easy to use! Recipes are simple and everything I have made has been delicious!!!! I don’t even use my other cookbooks anymore!

Response from developer

Thank you, Happy Belanger. We appreciate your thoughtful review! Best of luck to you!

Misleading

This app is misleading. You must sign up to 9.99/mon after a free 30 day trial. If you’re looking for a free app. Don’t bother with this one.

Response from developer

Hello, We wish we could provide a free app, but we can't. We put too much work into creating this app and updating it regularly with new meal plans. Sorry. Yes, it's a paid app. But we are clear about this in the appstore description before you even download the app. You get a free 7 day trial to try it out. Simply cancel before that trial is up and you won't be charged anything at all. But if you find value during the 7 days, keep the app and enjoy new meal plans everyday of the week!

Terrible

Scam app. Hard to unsubscribe

Response from developer

Hello webster1011123 - Thanks for reaching out. Sorry you feel that way about our app, it's definitely not a "scam app" - In fact, it's not our fault that it's so hard to unsubscribe, You must go into your Apple Appstore Settings and cancel the app to avoid being charged (NOT inside the app - this is an apple rule). Please reach out to APPLE SUPPORT about billing questions - or for questions for me, contact me by email (Kelly@healthyHappySmart.com), and please leave an informative rating/review if you get a chance. We don't deserve the rating you gave because it's out of our hands how to unsubscribe. Thanks.

DON’T DOWNLOAD!

It “appears” to be a free app, but as soon as you download, you are STUCK on their ad to pay $10 a month with no option to see anything else in their app until you agree to their fake “free trial”
Misleading

Response from developer

Hello Liberty1260 - why do you say it's a "fake free trial" - this is totally misleading and false information you're spreading. We mention all of this in the appstore description - when you subscribe you get a 7 day free trial - this is to try it out and see if you like it. Then after the 7 days, it's a paid app - however, you have the option to cancel anytime during the 7 days to avoid being charged. Sorry you're so upset about this, we clearly mention this in the app description.

They need to put cost up front.

$10 per month w 7 day free trial.
False advertising

Response from developer

Hi SF runner - sorry we wish we could give our app away for free, but after all the work we put into it and then updating new meal plans each week, we just can't do it. We are completely transparent about the price in the appstore description, so you saying "false advertising" is completely false itself. Please consider changing your review since we are honest upfront about the price of the app.

Non compliant recipes

Several recipes made to mimic desserts, baked goods. I even saw one with honey?? What??

Response from developer

Hello Newlife4cindy - Thanks for your comment, although I am unsure what you're referring to?? We don't claim to be a part of any "diet" in specific. It's just about eating healthy whole foods. Sorry for your confusion, if you could please remove or change your review we would greatly appreciate it as it's false information. Thanks for your time.

In-app purchase before you get anything

Most free apps with in-app purchases have some content free, and more if you purchase. This one asks for your email (or Facebook) to login, then says “Start Free Trial” with $15/month after your first week.

I don’t think so, Tim. In-app subscriptions are the most difficult to cancel, or remember to cancel. Go for it if $180/year sounds like a reasonably-priced cookbook.

Response from developer

Hi VirtuallyFamous – Thanks for your review. I do want to point out that we do offer one week free to try out the app and see if it's something you like. You get full and complete access to everything. If you don't like it - it's so simple to cancel in your iTunes appstore settings.

Not free

Not actually free. Usually “free” apps have some features that are free and some that are paid. Not this one. The app just loads to a screen that invites you to subscribe. No actual functionality.

Bogus

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! DANGEROUS APP!
