Do NOT update
When you update it will kill your word list and you have to start over. Just updated and still have the same problem with updates killing my word list. Vey very frustrating. Aside from that I enjoy the new words per day.Daghostryder
Bad audio only one word per day
I don't like this app because of the bad audio. If you could turn up the audio in the app and could get more than one word per day I would definatly give this app more stars.Lilgray
Not Worth It
Even for free I do not recommend. For the asking price of $0.99, I definitely would not purchase.
1) PROMO VERSION - This lite version is really a sample of their expensive $9.99 version. Both versions are overpriced. This should be FREE always and the pro should be no more than $4.
2) ONE WORD DAILY - Not helpful if you want to build vocab. There are better apps that have vocab flashcards grouped by category or an audio phrasebook for better comprehension.
3) UNTRUSTWORTHY - This company has a reputation for errors. I have 2 different apps that have mistakes with gender article concordance, wrong or mispelled words, & non-native translations.
4) BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - No response to email about correcting errors. Update to fix mistakes seems unlikely.Show lessLea11, Hawaii
v1.5 update erases your wordbank!!!
Although the v1.5 update gives you the ability to add more than one word a day, it also erases the wordbank that you might've built up over months by launching the app every day! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional on the part of the developers, showing such disregard for their users' time & effort. Skip this update & wait for the next one that does NOT trash your hard-earned wordbank!! I'll change my rating from one star after they fix this.Show lessbill439

I don't know why people are so negative about this app. I love it. You get a word a day to add to your vocabulary and you can add them to your word bank to study from later. This won't teach you German on it's own but it's a great addition to whatever lessons you are learning. The voice is easily understandable, and if you have the iphone you can record and compare your pronunciation to the native speaker's pronunication. I find this to be one of the best German language apps on itunes.Show lessswitchbladeknitter

Would have expected a little more. Even for a lite version. One Whole word. If thats what I can expect from the lite then I can only assume the full versions is Pants.davidg001
