Handy model rocket utility

This is a very useful app for model rocket hobbyists. Rocket designs can be entered via the iPhone and quick performance calculations can be performed. The logbook is also very handy. The latest version fixes all the issues that I had with the earlier releases. Now all we need is native iPad resolution support.

Beats using a laptop!

A handy tool for answering some of the numeric RI questions.

Save Your Money

Preloaded rocket information is not always correct..Cannot edit flight log..Cannot edit/add engines...Support is severly lacking and updates are non-existant. It is apparantly abandoned-ware..I give it two stars as it was a valiant effort..But for 10 bucks, STAY AWAY...

Has potential but needs bugs fixed

There are couple issues that need fixing to be fully useable. The motor database needs to be updated. Flight logs can't be deleted. The developer promised to fix bugs soon, but that was months ago. The issues are unacceptable given the asking price. I bought this to help support the project, but because of lack of support regret that I wasted the money.

Works well, but a bit complicated at first

I bought this to replace software that ran on an old Palm Pilot and to also avoid having to bring my laptop to the field. I work with high school students flying rockets and it's nice to be able to run a sim at the field to make sure the motor choice is correct, etc. The biggest issue I've had so far is entering a rocket design seems too complicated. It would be great to have a single screen to enter all the basic dimensions, and then have the opportunity to edit it further if needed. The sims matched other software I use that runs on laptops and the motor database is current, which is a big plus. If I had the ability to quickly enter a rocket diameter and weight for a fast sim I'd give it five stars. The students I worked with thought it was great to see something that used real 'rocket science' on an iPhone.

Very Useful

I am very glad to have this app and consider it well worth the cost. I will look forward to the future enhancements that have been promised by the developer though. I wish the documentation/web site included a way to contact the developer. If there were a contact provided, I would ask this question: Is the flight log database information backed up on the user's computer when syncing, or would the information be lost in a device reset?
