Thank you for not subscription

I haven’t even used this app yet but just for the sole reason that there’s only a one-time payment, I’m going to give it 5 stars. This subscription frenzy needs to end. Apps like this should never ever make you pay for a subscription. The only way these companies will stop charging us subscriptions is if we stop paying for them.

Edit: well I used it for a few minutes and already found a problem and had to change my rating. I got this app specifically to make cards for computer coding. For example, I need a card that says <a> on one side and then has the definition for that symbol on the other side. However, when you put a word anything inside of those symbols, it won’t appear on the card. Please fix this.

Response from developer

Hi. HTML is used to format the card. But there is a setting you can use to turn this off. Swipe left on the deck and tap edit. Tap advanced. See the setting “don’t parse HTML” and turn off. This should solve your problem.

Great App

I have used many flashcard apps in the past, and this one is the best. In terms of flexibility of structuring my flashcards, study functions (e.g. interval), ability to sync across devices, text-to-speech, ability to copy and move cards between decks, etc.

The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish I was able to search all my decks at simultaneously; currently, if i want to find a specific card, I have to search through each of my many decks individually, and that can take a while. It would also be nice if there were more formatting options, like bolding, bullet points, etc. But other than these two points, I have nothing negative to say about this app.

(Note: thanks to the developer's helpful response, i figured out how to search all my cards at once and it is very easy to do! LEVEL UP!)

Response from developer

Hi. Thanks for the review. To search all cards, create a Combination Deck and search within that. Tapping on a card will then show you which deck came from. The app only supports formatting using HTML. You can manually add bold tags, or if you use Excel you can bold, underline within Excel and transfer. For bullets, search the in-app help for “Lists”. Changed the game

This transformed my experience of learning a minority language that doesn’t have many resources. My flashcards double as my personal, searchable dictionary (which is critical seeing that my language has many dialects and doesn’t have a standardized dictionary). Love spaced repetition, multiple choice, and how FAST it is to make a new flashcard. Such a big fan of this app and have told all my friends about it. I’m not really a nerd, but i get really nerdy with this app. It does take a tech savvy person to set it up well. I think some people would completely miss all the powerful features.

Awesome App

This flash card app has everything you could want, whether you just need something simple to start or you’re looking for more advanced study tools. It’s super easy to pick up and use right away, but if you dig deeper, you’ll find tons of great features like customizable decks, spaced repetition, and even progress tracking. The interface is smooth, and it syncs across all your devices, so you can study anywhere. Whether you’re prepping for a big exam or just brushing up on something new, this app’s got me covered with all the right tools.

Excellent app.

I have a lot of things I need to learn and remember on an ongoing basis for my job. This app helps me enormously - thank you Ernie.

All you can think of. The best for experienced users.

I have been using this app for many years, and it suits all my needs. It is highly customizable, reliable, and works flawlessly. Thank you!

Outstanding

The best money I have spent on a app to date, period. I have no relationship whatsoever with the developer - but the functionality and depth of features in this app are next level. I’ve spent many, many hours utilising them already, much appreciated!

Great app

Before trying the free version of this app, I tried multiple flash card apps. What I liked about the free version of this app is that it didn’t require an account to simply try it and that it allowed access to the features that I wanted to use. Many other apps require unnecessary account setup for trial versions, or limit the trial functionality so much that it’s difficult to know if the app will work for you.

After trying the free version, I purchased the full version and am really happy with it—it’s very easy to use and has the features and functionality that I’ve been looking for. The navigation is intuitive, and the help topics are detailed and clear. Thank you to the developers for making such a great app.

Very useful app

I use this every day for my vocabulary. It’s ideal for what I want. I like the way there’s options for the rotation of words, and the way it brings in new words into the established vocab testing.

The only request would be to make inputting new words on the phone easier… you have to go through a few screens to ‘edit’ the deck. A quicker option would be great (I’m often reading the news and want to add a word I’ve just looked up).

The best there is though.
