  • Doesn’t do very much at all.

Decent graphics, and you are able to zoom into any location easily, but you are not able to change the rate of time. Imagine zooming into a location and watching the seconds tick by while waiting for sunset. Who’s going to sit for 15 minutes while the horizon imperceptibly moves one second at a time.

  • Can't hide clock

Updates twice in two days. Still can't hide the clock. Antarctica is so big, combined with the clock it makes the real part of the app less appealing. I'm not looking at the time or a frozen circle.
  • Even worse than before

    App doesn't start
  • CATMANG

WORSE NOW APP JUST DISAPPEARS FROM THE SCREEN FOOL AROUND TOO MUCH WITH THIS BUG STUFF IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DON'T FIX NORMALLY A GREAT INFORMATIVE APP AT TIMES THESE APP UPDATES CAN BE SCARY!
  • Buggy

The app won't even open without crashing in ios 4
  • App is not loading

I've downloaded the app twice and still won't load. Running ISO 4.0.
  • Good - needs improvement

Should be able to advance clock manually by hour/day. Needs an option to turn off clock at bottom of screen- would like choice of different style digits as well.
  • Bad

This app is a lost of cash
  • not too bad...

About the graphics: Yeah, they are not the greatest, but YES YOU CAN zoom in by using the 2 finger pinch/shrink. Maybe the developer could use the higher res pic from nasa. My main graphics complaint is with the night shading. In this app, the Antarctic region shows night as bands stepping from black to gray, but once you hit the countries, it's a gradual diffusion from black to gray and you don't get a sharp day/night line. Accuracy: Perfect. I don't know if I can post a website, so google "day and night clock" and click on the first link. You will see that what you see on the web is what you see with the app. On the website, if you change the time and date to match that of the screenshot of this app uploaded in itunes, and set the timezone to CA, you'll get a perfect match. So, this app does what it says it does. When the phone is locked: the app still runs in the background. When unlocked the app will update the day/night image in about 10 secs. This app seems to run in real time. Annoyance: The scrolling seconds hand. Using this app versus making the website I mentioned a webapp? Well, the webapp will give you MUCH better graphics, but this app has room for improvements and works offline.

  • Good concept, not-so-good execution.

This app is fine if you don't expect too much from it. You CAN NOT zoom in on a specific country. The "zoom" feature is quite limited and the resolution is extremely poor. At best, this app is simply a clock showing elapsed time and a zoomed-out over-view of where the progression of night is on the globe.
