Reviews of HIIT Timer (Intervals)

  • No more counting!

I have used HITT Timer for a couple of months now to time my stretches and exercises. I have been very happy with it. For example, for stretching I set the high interval to 30 sec and the low interval to 6 sec and sets to 6. It even supports multitasking so I can still listen to podcasts and music while using the timer.
  • Getting there

Few minor changes would make all the difference: 1) allow us to rename or delete saved programs 2) we should be able to set intervals in minutes, not just seconds 3) put a "pause" or "rest" BUTTON on the countdown screen and get rid of the function that makes the countdown stop if u touch anywhere on the screen. It's annoying. 4) not sure if it's possible but should allow app to work in the background. Hate when it stops when another app is applied.

I hate 3 hiit apps on my phone and this is the only one I use on a regular basis.
  • HITT Timer, not so hip

This app was not good. It would be nice to have the option of choosing which interval to start out in. This starts out with the high interval first. Second, it would be nice to have a minutes option to set up the interval instead of entering it in in seconds only. Third, if I pushed the button to turn the screen off, I noticed that the application stopped working after about 20 seconds. I had to keep the app open and not hit the button to turn the screen off. That would be fine, but my fingers touched the screen, which stopped the interval timer. Last, I noticed that the app seemed to stop in the middle of an interval and switch to the 2nd interval. Very strange considering I couldn't make it do this on purpose when I was having difficulty getting it to run with the screen off. After I realized I had been running for 2 mins, but the timer said only 20 seconds had gone by, I wanted the option to skip the current interval I was in and jump ahead to the high intensity interval. All and all, this seemed like a good app, but it didn't work well for me.
