Stopped working

This has been a fantastic app and my go to app for French verbs. However, it has now stopped working on my iPhone. Not sure if this is an iOS version issue or if the app is just no longer being developed or supported.

Not bad

For around £3 this isn’t bad at all, it gives you what you want without any pesky in-app monthly subscriptions. The layout at first can be a little off-putting but once you get into it you start to appreciate the personalisation and customisation features with the lists and so on. It helps you to practise conjugation which is what I wanted. However some vital and most frequently used verbs are missing like Être. Which is odd for a verb conjugating app.

Powerful teaching tool

The app includes an incredibly comprehensive, fully conjugated, list of French verbs.

One can review as many verbs, in as many tenses, as needed for daily study.

You do that by creating verb lists.

The verb lists are then used to formulate computer generated quizzes.

The developer was amazingly swift in responding to my requests.

Please buy it immediately.

Dream App

You can set this app up to train you on verbs in simple or complex ways. It can be as straightforward or as tricky as you want!

It takes a little time to learn to set up, but a few months in I felt confident with all irregular verbs and also the literary tenses they tell you never appear. Sorry! I have found the Subjunctive Imperfect in Harry Potter and recognized it because of what I learned with this app.

Buy this

I have been starting each french study session by picking a verb and blatting through the conjugations (on paper). I realised though that the problem is once I've picked the verbe I follow a kind of pattern and one conjugaision clues me for the next. Real conversations don't consist of series of the same verb conjugated different ways, so why do drills that way? This is where this app is mint - it busts you out of the rut. It's difficult to begin with (the conjugaisons I mean, not using the app) but that means getting better. I hope!

3 bucks, comon - it's less than the price of a coffee.

Much better program than another verb app

This app is cheaper than another I've seen. It has compound verb tenses, the ability to create and use lists, quizzes and tests. Best of all: no hidden fees!

Downside: I tried to make a list using the "être" verbs. 4 are missing from the app: devenir, monter, descendre, and rentrer. I hope these are added in an update.

I'd give it 4.5 stars if it were possible.

French Verb Trainer

Is the english translation of 'finir' really to depend on?
Why are the passé composé conjugations for 'aller' missing?
Maybe I will be able 'to depend' on it once it's 'finished'.

Great App, some missing info

Hello, not all verbs have all the conjugated forms, some missing data but overall great trainer

Great app but...

This app is really helpful for studying verb conjugations with various tenses. However, it does not include être which is essential for conjugating certain tenses. Would give it a 5 star review if this was fixed.

Good but needs work

This has the potential to be a great app as it allows you to pre-define verb lists and only test certain tenses. As you become more familiar with the language you can increase the list of verbs and tenses.

However it can be really annoying in Quiz mode as the software gets stuck in a loop and keeps asking you to conjugate the same verb/pronoun combination.
