Great app
Good app and very useful on my recent trip to Paris. The map is especially good and i used it to navigate throughout my trip. This app is well worth the fee, I would recommend it to anyone. The wiki pages are great, so much information at your fingertips, I didn't need a guidebook at all! I had the following comments which is all that stopped me from rating 5*, they are the same for Rome and Venice which I intend to rate also:
1) I have an iPod so no gps/gsm so the locate option doesn't work. It would be nice if you could locate yourself so that iPod users can use the 'nearby' tool. Maybe there is a way but I can't find it.
2) when you tap on an item on screen and get an 'i' button indicating that there is info tagged to the map, it is very difficult to click on it. I end up button bashing the screen.
3) difficult to get the 'my pins' to pop up. Sometimes I give up.
Cheers

Not for travelling
This is the kind of thing you read in the doctors waiting room or on the bus on the way to work. Not really helpful when travelling. I bought the '2go' guide on the recommendation of another reviewer who said it was better value than the 'eyewitness top 10' guides and that the information was more interesting (eg it provided detailed information on a monument you may be at). Well, yeah, that would be useful (and add to your enjoyment of a place) if it was in little bite-sized travel-friendly bits. This is NOT that, it's not a travel anything. It's just WIKIPEDIA links. When I'm only spending 2 days in a city I don't want to trawl through a wikipedia article. Admittedly, the description of the app does say it derives its info from Wikipedia. I guess I was distracted by the price. Off to buy what I should have in the first place now (or maybe the lonely planet)...

Great app
I can't believe the people that are moaning about this app having information from Wikipedia. It just costs 59p. If you want a more detailed guide go and buy others for £5. I used this app on a weekend trip to Paris. It was great. Thanks to the pre-loaded maps and the GPS location feature, we were never lost and could easily find quick shortcuts while walking around the city and could find the nearest Metro stations. For this price, I think it gives good information. The main purpose of this app is having all the information(including Wikipedia descriptions), maps pre-loaded so you don't have to use your phone's data services while roaming. If this is what you are looking for, just do it. If you are looking for a detailed guide with travel tips etc, pay some more and try another app.

Invaluable!
Went to Paris having loaded up the iPhone with a number of Paris related Apps. This one became the standard one to use beating more expensive ones into the bargain. In built map made it easy to track where you were and where you want to get to (without the expensive bandwidth costs of downloading map tiles...). Having wikipedia information on each place was good as well - just as much information as the more costly traditional guide I had downloaded. Excellent!

Great App!
This application is terrific. Everywhere I went in Paris I could access detailed information about each place. It sure beats carrying a heavy guide book everywhere you travel. I only wish that I had this app for each city I went to during my travels.
