I went last year with my wife, and I downloaded the app. It was our first time in NYC. We didn't have internet so what I did was when I had wifi at the hotel, i looked for the interesting places to visit and saved them. So when we were outside of the hotel we could got everywhere. Here's an app to make planning, and navigating, easier.
Very helpful to be able to map out areas of interest, and create multiple itineraries.
I only wish the included MTA (subway) map was integrated into the app's map function instead of opening as a separate window.
