Total crap! Won't even let you use the points or convert them. I'd give it no stars if I could. Now I'm deleting this app and the ultimate mafia. Sticking with imobsters. Don't waste your time.
Lost everything with update
I had to start all over again after the app was updated recently... On top of that I actually spent money on one of their "reward game" apps and now it doesn't send reward points to this new version! Any hope at having fun is also ruined by the fact that they don't break up the fight list into level ranges so enjoy signing in to see 100 news items regarding people 60 levels above you slaughtering you... Worthless apps and a sad excuse for a developer!

A month after I emailed them because the update destroyed my character...I got the sorry u lost 150 rewards points and ur high level character....here is 50 reward points and go start over. Be warned. The next update will ruin ur character too so don't even bother downloading this. EPIC FAILURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Developers fixed crashing problem! Ignore my prior report about crashing problems. I upgraded the star rating from 2 to 4.
Quick summary: this game is fantastic!
This game has almost all the gameplay of Mafia Wars with several SIGNIFICANT improvements:
1) A leaderboard!! (To improve: add "Level" ranking and mimic leaderboard numbering in "Kingdoms at War" app)
2) Direct chat to other players! This adds a realistic and "live" aspect to the game missing from Mafia Wars.
3) Knowledge of how many times someone attacked you. (To improve: add push notification and/or vibrate to news tab so player knows when they are being attacked, or receiving other incoming messages)
4) Knowledge of extra attack/defense of opponents (To improve: important stats missing from player profiles such as number of mafia members, cashflow, bank total, and attack/defense totals due to weapons, armor, and vehicles)
Additional gameplay of uncertain value:
1) "Kill". No description of this in game instructions, and so far no idea when this function gets activated (some point after level 14 i guess).
2) "Land wars": Buying and reselling of land, kinda like the stock market (buy low, sell high). I have not seen the value of this early in the game for me, perhaps value will be more evident further into the game and with more players.
*Maybe i will update this review after getting a better understanding of these two aspects later.
Warning: misleading statement in the description: claims that you can play games to get reward points rather than pay for reward points, BUT, 2 out of the 3 game apps that give reward points cost money. So that statement is misleading. It is an indirect cost rather than a direct cost. 1 game app is free and gives an average of 1 reward point per 24 hours, 2nd game app is 0.99 and gives about 4 reward points per 24 hours, and the 3rd game app costs 9.99 and gives about 10 reward points per 24 hours. Overall though, this is a reasonable cost to acquire additional reward points AND more importantly, provide revenue to the developers for creating a marked improvement to the Mafia Wars style game.
Bottom line: If you like Mafia Wars, you will LOVE Ultimate Mafia! I guarantee that.
