Collins Greek Dictionary User Reviews

Perfect

Easy to use, very rich vocabulary and ideal for improving oneโ€™s Greek. Bravo

It would be nice to have the words spoken. My German Collins dictionary has an audio so you can hear the words.

It would be nice to have more specific words. I looked up sugars and found the Greek word for sugar but only one word for a specific type of sugar, namely glucose. Other common sugars like fructose and lactose were not included.

Asks you to rate app whenever you open it

Frustrating to use. Often the word of the day notification doesnโ€™t match the actual app.

Very good

Excellent colloquialisms

Wouldnโ€™t be without this dictionary

Worth it

Very useful app!

Best App for Greek!

Perfect for the novice or expert. The additional sample sentences and historical insights are unparalleled. I donโ€™t leave home without it!!!

No good for learning Greek

The functionality of the app is ok, but the dictionary content is poor on the Greek to English side: for instance, examples and definitions are eccentric if not haphazard; the gender of a noun is not given, nor the conjugation; the different stems of verbs are not given, let alone their full conjugation; and most of the Greek grammatical abbreviations remain undefined anywhere in the app.
