This has got to be the worst app in existence. After installing I asked to translate ‘I do not understand’ to Italian and the only suggestion of possible available sentences was ‘I don’t mind’ - all others were about plumbing - ‘idraulica’. I then tried ‘Io non capisco’ and ‘Non capisco’ (‘I don’t understand’) and the only suggested English translation was ‘Nonchalance’. But you already know you’re going to ignore my advice because the app has 5-star reviews and ‘Hey, I like being part of what’s happening!’

You can look up the word "understand" and you will see "I don't understand" in the usage examples. Since you were trying to translate a phrase, our Italian Translator + where you can look up phrases would be better suited to your needs.
