Disappointed
Very disappointed for the money this app cost. I purchased this because it says it is a Modern Standard Arabic but, I'm lucky to get one out six words from the Quran I try.

For what it claims to do it does it great. Highly recommended. This will help you read unknown words a lot.

Great app, but...
This is one of the best Arabic apps available, giving grammatical details (gender, prefix, suffix etc) of Arabic words that most of the others miss out.
The update is welcomed but, once text has been entered, there doesn't seem to be any way of dismissing the keyboard (iPhone 6 plus) and accessing the new options on the home screen, without quitting the app (via the multitask screen) and reopening. Please fix ASAP!
Beyond this, what would make it a truly great app would be the ability to search for an Arabic word using English textโฆ complete with singular and plural (something that seems to be completely missing from any Arabic app, which appear to be mainly geared towards Arabic speakers learning English โ a bigger market, I guess) forms of the Arabic nouns... and (the big ask) root, perfect, imperfect and other tenses etc of verbs.

Brilliant
Excellent job of displaying vowels and root words. Suggestions: please update dictionary for more words and update the app to iOS 7 UI.
Best one I've tried
I really wish they would add English to Arabic searching, but even without this functionality this app is the best I've used. I tried many, but the ability to type in any word without knowing the root or base word is unique to this app, and the addition of vocalisation/vowelisation is also extremely useful.
For future improvement, English to Arabic lookup is a must, and inclusion of different forms of the same word when you look it up would also be great.

Arabic teacher
This is the best app out there for any student or teacher of Arabic. It sticks to the Arabic tradition of using roots to derive meanings and it's very handy and user friendly.
Best app for intermediate/advanced Arabic learners ever!
It pulls the root out of the words you enter and shows the conjugation. Priceless!
