Ok, little hit of history: I played this quite a bit about ten years ago. On an iPod Touch 2nd gen.
Anyways I was clearing out apps on my iPhone XS (we’ve come so far) and this one was still, somehow, working. It hasn’t updated in four years. There’s some visual glitches, spacing weirdness, but nothing gamebreaking. There’s a handful of people still topping the leaderboard every week.
I fully expected it to break on contact. But it’s fine?? It still works??? I am highly impressed.
Creators, if you see this, can you push an update just to keep this thing functional the next time Apple radically changes its firmware?
Love DodgeDot !! I've been playing weekly for nearly 8 years since it's creation. It's still the BEST GAME EVER !! Give it a try and then then keep trying. The levels increase in difficulty to keep you on your toes. There's is a definite strategy to this to keep you engaged. Each week is its own mini tournament of sorts against everyone. Continue to beat your personal weekly best and you'll see how it's hard to put down. Let's make this game famous !!
This is truly one of the few games I absolutely cannot bring myself to delete no matter how low I become on memory. The gameplay is easy to figure out and the social aspect makes it fun to attempt to gain the highest rank possible on the leaderboards. This is a definite must buy!!!
This was one of the first games I installed on my iPhone years ago, and loved it, but somehow with all the thousands of fancy graphically overdone, and bloated games, I lost touch with it.
I recently rediscovered Dodge Dots, and it's even better than I remember it to be. I don't recall the Community aspect, but that part is a lot of fun, and I love trying to improve my rank on the leaderboard. It's also great that the game changes each week so you get to start out fresh. You guys have thought of everything.
I may never be the most skilled at this game, but it's a blast trying to improve. Total addiction!!! It's hard to put it down, and when I get the hook, I just have to try again.
The game is mesmerizing, and each level gets harder and harder. I also like how the scoring is different on the iPad. You get 2 chances if you have an iPad and an iPhone
I have come to the conclusion that the best games in the App Store are those that concentrate more on the gameplay and concept, and less on having the fanciest, largest game around. My favorite games are the simplest, and most elegant, like DropZap, Shibuya, etc
Dodge Dots tops the list.

You can't play the game unless you are on Wireless. There are a lot of us out here who do not want to "sign up" or "register" at any website in order to play a game. This is very disappointing indeed. I just bought an app that won't let me play unless i am doing so wirelessly. I did finally get to play, and it was fun, but i won't be playing again because I never leave my device open to wifi unless i am downloading something that requires it. I really hope you devs can fix this issue and just let the rest of us non wifi'ers to play. I am sure to raise the star rating to 5 stars if you were to do so because i only played the game for 5 minutes and i dug it quite a lot. Thank you.
This game is a neat concept and can be fun. It freezes sometimes and if you close it and force quit you can resume where you left off. Settings panel also froze. Freezing more likely if you accidentally hit the home button while dragging a blue and have to reopen.
Excellent game. Fun and addicting. However when I load the app it tries to connect to Jampaq and takes a while and then says cannot connect to Internet. I can connect to the Internet for everything else on my iPad so that is not an issue. Because of this I cannot choose other color schemes, that freezes the app and it quits.
Other than the connection problems which is a pain because you have to wait, the game itself plays fine.
Great game and super fun! Would have given it 5 stars but it is still locking up. Sometimes when I'm playing the screen goes black and the time expires but it's locked up so I can't do anything. Only thing to do is close game and then start a new game upon re-entry.
I like this game. I only wish you didn't have to go back to the lowest level when you mess up, especially when you've gotten quite far. The first few levels are easy and it's boring to have to go all the way back and replay them. It's a good diversion when you are waiting in the doctor's office or on a plane. I would just be even more tempted to play if you could proceed from a higher level instead of starting completely over.
One of the very first apps I ever got, but it has remained one of my classic faves. It has a simple premise but is executed well. All you need to do is put the colored bubble into the same colored slot. But they get more numerous and change sizes as they progress. The progression is also done very well. You don't have to have all the excess to make a great game, as shown here. Simple, yet addicting.
